SeaKlear > Oh Yuk
We inherited a hot tub with the purchase of our home. We did a system flush with SeaKlear which flushed a considerable amount of algae flakes into the water before we drained the tub. We used SeaKlear both in the system flush and to scrub the tub as we drained and cleaned it. We refilled and had a sparkling, well-balanced tub and didn't think much of it. We decided to try Oh Yuk with our next system flush (90 days later), and while it did a great job, no algae was released. We thought we'd resolved whatever issue we had inherited. Fast forward another 90 days, hot tub cleaning day, and we decided to use up the last of the Sea Klear. A few minutes into the running the jets, algae flakes began to release and float up again.... I think SeaKlear works better for our hot tub, and it's only $8 per flush/purge compared to $15 for Oh Yuk.

Effective!
Decided to try this after seeing tutorials on system flushing. I’m VERY glad I tried it because it removed a great deal of sludge from our hot tub. The photo I attached is of the first 10 minutes or so and only a small fraction of the total. After adding the cleaner, I ran the jets on high for 15 minutes, then let it soak for several hours and ran the jets on high again for another 15 minutes. There was a great deal of foaming each time, but not so much as to overflow. The initial sludge was the dark green pictured and the second “wave” was a more yellow/brown. Simply disgusting. I’m quite pleased to have it out of my hot tub.

Use before you drain/refill your spa for cleaner water
After about 4 months of using my spa almost daily, the water was no longer easy to balance or keep clean. I went out one morning and saw a nasty film accumulating on the edges at the waterline and knew it was time to drain it. I drained, refilled, and about a day later was getting grime and my PH was completely out of whack. The next day, I added half a bottle of this spa system flush, ran the jets for 45 minutes, let the water sit overnight, and drained it again the next morning. Upon refilling I have crystal clear, great smelling water! This bottle was about half of the price of a spa purge product from a local store and will work for two drain/refill cycles. Additionally, you can put a little bit on a sponge to clean the top and bottom of your spa cover to keep things extra clean. This worked as good as any other purge chemical I have tried and was the answer to a clean, grime/slime free hot tub water.

Effective in cleaning out the PVC pipes
Although way over priced,After following the instructions my review is.- flushed out the PVC lines and the amount of black gummy foam it dispensed into the spa was both shocking to see and unwelcoming as it DOES WHAT IT CLAIMS.!My spa is in my VRBO Family Vacation Rental home and renters are not sanitary and this is a great way to clean it.My suggestion would also be that spa owners once done then fill and cycle for 15 mins on high then drain again, clean the inner surface again thoroughly, use NEW filters.Great product.

THANK YOU -- I finally have a clean spa!
I purchased a trade-in spa from a local dealer and try as I might, I could never stop this grungy, gooey film from forming around the water line. I drained, cleaned, re-balanced several times over a few months and finally just drained it and let it be. Then I found SeaKlear Spa System Flush. Yeah, it sounds like a commercial or hype but I used half a bottle in a 350gal spa. Ran it for a few hours and then drained it. I balanced the chemicals on refill and have had NO issues since. Its been a month and no grunge, no slimy feel! Only a beautiful spa with clear, easily balanced water! THANK YOU SeaKlear!!

Excellent for Flushing Used Hot Tub Clean!
I bought this to clean a used hot tub that I purchased just to assure it was sanitized. This stuff worked excellent for that. I actually put a little more in than the directions state so it foamed up quite a bit when the jets were on high. You can see from the photos the green crud that foamed out in the process. I used to have a hot tub for several years but left it with our old house when we moved. I bought this for sanitizing the used tub we just bought but after using this stuff I think it should become part of the regular cleaning process when changing the water. I probably wouldn’t use it every time I changed the water but maybe once or twice a year.

Removed Mildew from my Spa Cover
I let my chemicals get out of wack in my hot tub and ended up with mildew on the underside of the spa cover. I could not scrub it off and I knew I could not clean it with soap or bleach like I would for mildew in my bathroom, so I Googled a cure. I found a recommendation for SeaKlear Spa Flush and it worked great. I used a jumbo wet sponge and a couple of tablespoons of this product, wiped the underside of the cover, and closed up the spa. The next day I opened it and it was completely mildew-free. The mildew has not returned.

We have owned a hot tub for a number of ...
We have owned a hot tub for a number of years and unfortunately had no idea about this type of product. We have used it regularly and maintained it, but have recently noticed more of an odor even after changing the water out. After doing some research I found instructions on how to sanitize a hot tub. That's what brought me to this product. Based on the reviews here, I bought it and just received it today. After just 5 minutes, it was incredible how much sludge came out of my pipes (picture posted is as a result of that 5 minutes). I will be using this every single time the water is changed from now on. I am really looking forward to getting after this water change.
