SunSpire Fair Trade Milk Chocolate Sundrops, 10 Ounce Bag

I was recently diagnosed as allergic to chocolate (which is horrible news since I love it so much). I bought these as a substitute. These certainly won't fool you if you are expecting a chocolate taste, but they look like chocolate and if you mix them with something else they aren't bad and will somewhat give you the sensation of chocolate.I will say that while I would eat a crazy amount of chocolate in one sitting if given the opportunity, I only want a few of these.

I bought these to make blondies (brown sugar brownies.) They were very good, but the only thing I would suggest is if you recipe calls for vanilla don't use the full amount itcalls for, because these have vanilla them already. I didn't know that the first time I used them, and it made my blondies a little to sweet for me.

We try to avoid products with white sugar (organic or not) in them and really liked the idea that these are grain sweetened, so we thought we'd give them a try. They are delicious! The plan was to make cookies, however we ate about half of them right out of the bag. Used the rest to make homemade chocolate chip ice cream. We will be buying these again and hopefully next time we can get some cookies made before we tackle the bag. Maybe I should just order two bags....

Definitely not the most bang for your buck. Hard to find unsweetened carob chips in bulk though.

So grainy! It's not suitable for replacing regular chocolate chips. Maybe you can melt it to make some ganache, but not for general baking.

These are incredible! To me, they taste a lot better than regular white chocolate. So smooth and creamy, and they don't give me that weird coating on my throat that regular white chocolate does. I used these in a bundt cake recipe that required melted white chocolate chips for a drizzle over the cake. I got the recipe from a blog, and many people were complaining that the chips did not melt properly. I had no problem with this brand. I also used them in the batter, and they held their shape nicely during baking. Now, if only they were cheaper! But I guess you can't have everything.

These arrived in good condition, but the chips are very grainy and flat. The taste is okay, if just a bit tangy. I’d like them a lot more if the texture was better.

In my quest to cut sugar out of my diet, I was delighted to find these chocolate chips. They are by far the best tasting sugar free chips out there. I used them to make dessert teats and they taste as good, if not better than the chocolate chips with sugar. Hard to find, but well worth the search and extra cost!!
