First didn't work - edited after replaced
Edited version:After giving a one star review, I was contacted and mailed a replacement, with no added cost. The new one works fine, and I really like the mouse design and responsiveness. I have used it both with Windows and with Linux, and it worked immediately for each. The keyboard illumination goes off soon after you stop typing, so it shouldn't need to be recharged too often. I can't give it five stars, as I know it's fragile and had the early bad experience, but if you are looking for a budget illuminated cordless mouse/keyboard combo, this one is worth a try. I would suggest that you have a back up, though.Original review:I ordered this product since the more expensive Logitech keyboard was supposed to be fragile, and not last long. I thought that this might be worth trying, since at least I'd be out less money if it died after six months. Sadly, the keyboard never worked well, even though the mouse was fine. It skipped letters that I'd typed, making password entry impossible. I'd had trouble with a really cheap wireless Logitech keyboard, but at least that one just cut out entirely or worked completely, and only cost $20, unlike the spotty performance of this one. I can't say how long the battery lasts, since I've never had a chance to run it down, having returned to my old keyboard. The seller had sent it from China in a lightweight box wrapped in a lot of black plastic and bit of bubble wrap, so it might just be that the keyboard got damaged internally. However, as the only response I got from the seller was an offer for a partial refund, I am not going to order another. The mouse is OK, but kind of a weird shape, and cheap looking. The seller doesn't want the (broken) product back, so I've spent $40 for a rechargeable mouse. Yay. I wish I'd bought the expensive Logitech instead, or used a seller based in the US. The keyboard doesn't have any paperwork included at all, which is in keeping with the cheapness of the thing. It is very bright, though.

Good set if you do not need much separation
There are things about this keyboard and mouse that are good and things that are not so good.CONS:The main reason I got this set was for the wireless capability and it fails to deliver. The maximum distance I can get until the mouse and keyboard begin to become erratic is under 2 meters. I needed at least 5 meters. There is no lighting on the mouse when it charges. The keyboard backlight turns off after not quite 2 minutes. With the light off, the key lettering is very hard to distinguish. A variable time or longer time for the light to be on would be helpful. According to the description I expected 8 minutes before the backlight went off.PROS:The backlight on the keyboard is good and fairly even. I can read all of the keys with no issues when it is on.The keyboard keys are fairly quiet.I really like the mouse shape, the low profile is great. The mouse left and right buttons are very quiet compared to what I am used to.Battery life seems to be very good. I can get a few days before needing to charge. The off switch on the mouse helps extend the battery life for it.If it were not for the wireless distance being so small I would have given this higher rating. A longer keyboard backlight time would have also increased the rating. If you do not need much wireless distance and do not have to frequently stop typing for more than 2 minutes at a time I would say this is a good set and recommend it.

pretty good set
I am starting to like this inexpensive rechargeable wireless keyboard/mouse set. The first unit I received the keyboard did not light up but Amazon customer service sent a replacement promptly and even before they had received the return. the second set worked fine after I charged the keyboard but after 2 or 3 weeks the mouse stopped working. Surprise! The keyboard and mouse have to be charged independently. Lighting s good and extremely helpful For the price I would definitely recommend it.

Works well, the light from under the keyboard is pretty but the individual keys are not lit up.
Does not have a premium look or feel. Some of the keys stick and some feel "spongy"? The keys themselves are not lit, but the green light shines up through the keys. The green light is very cool, but I ended up sending this back, I could not deal with the sticking of the keys, mainly the spacebar. The wireless aspect worked pretty well for both the keyboard and the mouse, I agonized over whether to keep it or not though.

Takes some getting used to
This is a good keyboard. It takes a little getting used to but functions as it should. The one drawback is that it needs to be charged. I really do not like that. The same goes for the mouse. That has taken a while to get used to. it is much thinner then a normal mouse and it also needs to be charged. I did not read the description closely enough I guess because i did not realize they required charging and not normal batteries.

Worked Great...for Almost a Full Day
As the title says, it worked great for almost a full day. I read all of the negative reviews, but pulled the trigger anyway. Wish I hadn't. I charged it up exactly as directions stipulated. It worked and it looked great. Exactly what I wanted...and thought I'd gotten lucky and got a "good one". Then on day 2, less than a full 24 hours later, the mouse was dead. Tried recharging, powering on and off, etc. to no avail. Buy it. Try it. Ignore all of the negative reviews. Best of luck to you...

Looks cool, solid construction. Both minimalist and techy. Sheldon would like.
A good, solid keyboard, one that I can feel and hear my keystrokes on. The lit-up letters/numbers are a plus. If it times out and goes dark you cannot see the characters, but just hit Shift to wake it up. I agree with other poster that I sometimes hit Capslock when aiming for shift, but rarely now that I am used to it. No complaints. I put the mouse in storage, I like my current one - worth having to use 2 receivers. BTW, the receiver is in the mouse battery compartment. I looked for it for ten minutes and was ready to return it! Glad I didn't pitch the mouse..

Good battery life and looks nice
I bought this keyboard and mouse for my daughter to use for our home computer. Our shared computer is in the living room, and all the wires from the mouse and keyboard didn’t look very good. I bought the black version and she really likes it! The battery life is great, and they look stylish and go well with our desktop computer. Great for the price!

Good wireless combo
I needed a wireless keyboard and mouse combo because my laptop has limited usb ports. I like having the ability to recharge, and so far both the keyboard and mouse batteries seem to last. With moderate use, I've only had to recharge the mouse once. I had a bit of trouble getting the mouse to work, but after some excellent customer service, I got it working (hold down on the left button for a few seconds). The keyboard isn't what I would call quiet, but otherwise, both keyboard and mouse work great!

Tres satisfait
Juste une petite chose, le clavier ne s'illumine pas automatiquement en passant la main au dessus comme celui de ma femme. Mais juste en paissant sur pause et il s'illumine.
