More Birds 18-Inch Extension Hook, Steel, Bird Feeders, Plants, and Windchimes, Black

This 18” bird feeder hook performs as advertised. It recently survived a 4 day snow, sleet, and freezing rain storm here in the northwest. The finish is intact.

This is a handy-dandy little item to have around the house & garden. I use it for hanging bird feeders & hanging plants. Just now, I returned from outside where I moved this long hook to drop a suet feeder lower, because a squirrel had found a way to camp & hog the other feeder. Now he is thwarted, since this drops it down a foot & a half lower so he can't reach it anymore. He's cranky and talking smack at me through the window right now, mouthy little thing! Anyway, this is a quality item that is wrought iron so it is sturdy, hasn't rusted, and holds heavy items such as filled birdfeeders & heavy watered plants. I am using these to lower the bird feeders so I can reach them to refill. They are strong and sturdy, if a bit pricey. My mother found them locally at WalMart for less than I paid here.

I used this as an extention for my hummingbird feeder so that it would hang lower and I wouldn't have to get on a small ladder to get to it in order to take it down and refill it. This was a great solution.

Use this for clothes in the closet and for opening and closing blinds.

I bought the hooks for my indoor plants. Being older, 18" is a perfect length to reach up and hook it. That way I can switch plants and hangers easily or take the plant out to water and give it a shower. I recommend a trip to the hardware store for a swivel hook (see my picture) so you can rotate the plant for even sun exposure.

Very solid. They make it possible for me to hang flower baskets & bird feeders & reach them for watering & refill without dragging my ladder out. If you hang flower baskets get stainless steel spinners so you can turn the plants.
