Great for dog leads and great for the mower
This is definitely a heavy duty ground anchor. Be sure that the clip you have attaching the lead to it is large diameter of the loop where you attach the clip is larger than most anchors. This item is amazing in that 1) It is bright, orange and easy to see and 2) You can screw it in flush with the ground so that it is not a problem for the mower. I never thought I would be writing a review for an item like this, but it really is a heavy, high-quality item. I used to use the kind that had a plastic handle that would eventually break off from the heat. That won’t be happening with this one.

This saved my tree!
Overview: I purchased these after coming home from vacation and finding that my tree had fallen over and was literally laying on the sidewalk/street. I was half tempted to rip it out and plant a new one. But after doing some research, I had decided to try using mounts to stabilize the tree in an upright position. I bought two and they work great. My only regret is not buying the longer ones. But I wanted to save money.Pros: The spiral design makes it easier to mount into the ground and provides for a stronger hold. They have withstood strong winds and monsoon season rains.Cons: These may not hold in softer soils. I would recommend getting the longest ones possible, if you can.As a side note, I used bailing wire from Home Depot to connect these mounts to the tree. I have attached a couple photos to show what I did. You will see that I threaded the wire through a dripper irrigation tube (to protect the tree). The thicker black wire is actually electrical wiring from the dripper system i put in. I decided to put those at the top end there so I could easily re-adjust the tension as the tree moved back in to place. To get the tree standing back up after falling over in the first place, I used "Tie Down Straps", from the mount to the tree, to cinch it back up. Once standing, I attached the bailing wire as pictured and then removed the straps. There may be a better way to do this, but I like to MacGyver things with materials I have on hand.

Works great
Bought this for my dog because I bought one from the store and it did not survive the weed wacker. But I'm not the one who does my grass I pay somebody to. And they might have rented over with their lawn mower I'm not sure. So the old one got bent this one is flat with a ground and weed wackers or lawn mowers can mow right over top of it without any problems. But make sure you disconnect your lead from it before you do any yard work.

Work great - bought another set so I could move trampoline around
I originally bought a set of 4 of these about 4 years ago to anchor our new trampoline after a storm blew the old one over the fence to our neighbors home :( They have worked great. They have been in the ground and have held up this whole time and we haven't lost another trampoline. Anytime we know bad weather is coming I grab the racket straps and anchor it down (don't anchor it 24/7 mainly for aesthetics).I got tired of moving the trampoline to the desired spot every time I wanted to anchor it so I just bought another set of 4 so I could anchor the trampoline in a different location of the yard (I move it periodically to maintain the grass underneath). Now I have two different locations I can alternate between.I love that the anchor ring folds down. Never had a single issue with mowing or anything like that. Not visible unless you are essentially standing right by it. Over time (being exposed to the elements) the rings are little harder to move up and down, but certainly not an issue and to be expected. Could probably throw some grease/lubricant on it and it would be like new. Highly recommend these

Great, easy to use
These are excellent for holding awnings down! Even in softer soil they work great! Not sure about loose sand, the 16” version might be better. They are solid built and showed no signs of bending when I put them in. These are easy to put in with the sharp tip. Just screw it in and tie down whatever you need to. These also work great for Airplane tiedowns in remote settings.
