Not perfect but not bad. Slips down backpack strap.
As others have mentioned, the slippery vinyl backing causes the strap mount to slide down the backpack strap (especially when the backpack strap is tapered, as most are). I will probably try putting velcro on the inside of the sleeve, to help eliminate the slippage. As to the sleeve itself, it appears very well-made with appropriate stitching and edge piping. The swivel bracket is great for compensating for the backpack straps not being perfectly vertical even when a sternum strap is used.

Works in and out of the water
I bought this for some flexibility in my mounting options. I used it both as a mount on my Camelbak during hiking and as a mount on my BCD while scuba diving. It worked fantastic in both capacities. The only downside, which I expected, is that the shoulder straps on a BCD are fairly large in XL and larger BCD's and so you have to connect much lower on the straps for it to fit.I would buy and recommend again.

Fits nicely on a standard backpack
Looking for alternatives to the pricey GoPro branded backpack, I found this strap mount to be well-made and secure for my Hero 7. Using a generic backpack attracts less attention, so I can concentrate on just getting great b-roll, and this shoulder mount does the trick. Easy to adjust, it has 360 degrees of rotation, so it's easy to keep straight. Here's a pro tip - check your framing using your cell phone (plus GoPro app of course) and micro adjust the camera position when using on a backpack. Also, keep the shoulder strap higher up, so the GoPro sits higher for better walk-around shots...

Wish it had additional features
The product was made well. It just needs to be able to fasten more snuggly to the pack strap. It needs a material contacting the pack strap that has more resistance to slipping when secured to the strap. An ability to raise or lower the camera angle to get a more horizontal lens view would be helpful as well as lateral motion. I tried a few things to help secure it in place , but I think there are inherent short comings that need to be addressed by the manufacturer.

Works perfectly!
My son and his wife are YouTubers and outdoor enthusiasts. I got him this GoPro mount because he was asking for something a little less conspicuous than the one that goes on top of his helmet because it sometimes puts people off if they are immediately aware that they have a camera in their face. This worked perfectly and he was really pleased with it. The GoPro fit right on it and he says he feels less likely to hit it on something as well. Good buy for sure!

Your camera will angle slightly to the side. Look at your backpack straps...
I wanted this to work, but unfortunately, it did not for me. The strap mount aligns perfectly with your backpack strap, so for me, my camera was always pointed to the side so my video was also. Before purchasing, look at your backpack strap (whichever side you plan to put this on). Does it point off to the side, or straight ahead? Whichever way it points, that's where your camera will point. There are no adjustments that you can make to this strap to correct it, other than adding a foam wedge or similar under the strap mount to compensate. I didn't want to do that, so I returned it. You can, however, adjust your camera angle for up/down.

Fine for the money but could use some design improvements
Could benefit from a locking mechanism so that GoPro isn’t free to rotate. The actual part that goes over the strap is sturdy and wide enough to fit over most types of straps.

WORKS AS IT SHOULD
It fits my back pack great and does move around which is a plus . Have had no problems with the Velcro not holding. worth buying

Get filmed.
The variety of accessories for the action cam similar to GoPro is shocking.I chose the simplest one - shoulder strap mount.I always take my backpack and always use my camera, so now I can free up one of my hands.I went to outdoor 6 times for 9 days for hiking and cycling, here is what I found. It is easy to tilt and adjust position, to use with other joints, because they have the same size and configuration. Basically you have your own lego to work on. I can put it either to the shoulder strap, or to the belt. I combine the mount location and use the best way. Here is what is better to fix in the future models:- Add the metal lining or velcro inside the mount, so it better stay at the same height. I had to lift it up all the time while I was cycling. Then there is heavy backpack, the shoulder strap tighten it and hold at the same position. However if the backpack is almost empty the mount moves mostly up and down. I fixed this with the sternum strap, I limit the down movement.I usually add few joints when I am wearing it with the belt, so I have more room for positioning. So far, it does the job.

Better than using a chest carrying belt
I used this first time yesterday on my camel bag. I found it tilting one side owing to the weight of the camera. So I put it at the right side where the water tube is. It holds better this way with additional stuff (the thickness of the tube) supporting it. I sewed a pocket behind it to carry batteries. Pretty handy. I hope the video will be more centered.PS. Video was too low and it kept sliding down. I sewed a piece at the back of my backpack strip to hold it up. Also need to put my bike tool inside the back to present the camel bag from tilting one way.

Do not buy - velcro is weak. You’ll lose your GoPro!
This mount is complete GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY IT. The velcro barely holds together. You would never know if the mount came un done from your back pack if you’re busy doing something.Take it from me first hand. A branch caught my go pro and the Velcro came undone so easily that I didn’t even feel it while trail riding.Complete garbage.

Wish it had a quick release and a way to lock the angle
I wish there was a quick release, but otherwise pretty good! I wish that it also had a way to lock the rotating part. Before bringing it on its first trip I was worried that the camera would rotate so we drilled a hole and put a wire through to ensure it wouldn't spin.

Only for backpacks with thick padded straps, slides down
It only works on backpacks with a thick strap. Otherwise it will slide down while you are walking, unless you have a chest strap. Some higher friction material on the back or the ability to make the Velcro loop smaller would be better.
