Quinn Acoustics Q602S 6.5" 2-Way Shallow Coaxial Speaker

I went to Car Toys and listened to all the speakers in their speaker room. Though I couldn't tell a great difference between many of the $90 price range speakers, the salesman convinced me that that the Quinn Acoustics Q602 sounded the best, better than the $90 Alpine speakers that according to the salesman sounded "tin-y" (though I couldn't hear that) and the $80 Pioneers that he claimed wouldn't fit in my car (I turns out they do). When I checked out and paid $90 he handed me a box of Q602s speakers which look the same and cost the same as the Q602, but are a significantly less good speaker. The Q602 can play bass notes down to 45Hz. The Q602s because of its shallow basket can only go down to 90Hz, and therefore produces a very bad bass sound. I also learned that Quinn Acoustics is Car Toy's store brand, so they probably have a higher profit margin on these speakers. I feel mislead by the salesman who sold me a different speaker than the one I had listened to and agreed to buy. I am returning these and never shopping at Car Toys again.

It does not produce bass and you can only hear the highs and slight bass. It sounded distorted all the time. I got my gain right on my polk audio pa660 amp, and it still sounds horrible. I checked my wiring to make sure that it is not reversed, still did not do any good. The sound is backwards because if you are outside the car, you can hear the bass really good. Once you are inside the car, the bass is awful. I just wasted $89.99 + tax on this piece of crap and I threw it away. I should have not listen to the mr. attitude sales guy and talk me out of buying the Infinity that I was originally intend to buy. (stupid me). Do your research and take time to compare all the speakers using one head unit only at the store. Do your research. I just bought Infinity 6502ix and installed it today. The sound is so much better and the sound is more complete now.
