Maxwell & Williams Cashmere Creamer and Sugar Bowl, Fine Bone China, White, 2 Piece Milk Jug and Sugar Pot Set

Bought as a present, v well received. Excellent product overall arrived safe and v quickly, well presented in nice box. One little niggle, would be useful to have a little niche cut out in lid to accommodate a spoon - hence only 4 stars

Nice set. I bought for daily use and am very happy with them. Look good, jug pours well, and they are both easy to handle. Function, beauty and fine bone China for a great price.

Not too delicate, no worries about using

I'm surprised this arrive intact as I could hear it clinking inside the box.Amazon packaging was great (too much as usual), however, the items were loosely packed in it's own packaging, just 1 piece of cardboard folded in half to create a barrier between the sugar bowl and creamer and then the other half separating the sugar bowl and the sugar lid. I suppose if it made it through transportation then it should hopefully make it through occasional use.The quality is good but not excellent. The porcelain is fine, nice and thin so you can hear a ringing round when tapped. The colour is lovely nice and natural.The sugar bowl is lovely and round with an easy to remove lid, note the inside of the lid is not completely round, think this is to stop it accidentally falling off, the handle on the lid is easy to grasp and is a decent size and shape, good size opening on the top for easy access to both granulated or cubed sugar.The creamer similarly is great too, it has a wide spout for easy poring (would have preferred a slimmer design), the opening on the top is also wide meaning you can easily pour the liquid into the creamer.From far they look good, however, if I look closely I can see a few indentations in the creamer and the sugar bowl has a patch on the bottom where it has not been glazed (not the bit it stands on but near the curved section).As with purchasing crockery online its hit and miss as you all crockery will have some slight imperfections. If you are a perfectionist then buy in person.

I had ordered a porcelain tea pot from Amazon a while back but couldnt find a matching milk jug and sugar bowl to complete the set so when I saw these on vine, I grabbed them immediately.These arrived well packaged covered quite thoroughly in bubble wrap and paper to protect them against accidental bumps. After opening them, I felt that they looks quite well made and felt delicate in hand. From a design perspective, I felt that they were not anything special and seemed quite plain.I have since then used them a few times at home and have found them easy to handle and use. I normally prefer warm milk with my tea so I have used the milk jug to warm the milk directly in the microwave and it has worked fine.Pros Well packaged to prevent damage Sturdy yet feels delicate Microwave and dishwasher safeCons Design is quite plain High price (£18.99 at the time of posting the review)Overall, functionally I dont see any issues with these but I am a bit disappointed by the looks and I was actually expecting a much more premium look for this set. if you like the design, I recommend that you order this as you will not be disappointed by the quality. 3 Stars from me

There’s a mixed amount of elegance in this creamer and sugar bowl set, which sits somewhere between posh stuff, ‘the best china’, and plain functional everyday tableware, and ends up not being exactly either.The sugar bowl has a very pleasant curve to it and the fit of the lid, and its daintiness, is quite charming. There’s a wide opening making it easy to take from, and it’s all fine.The creamer is a bit prosaic though, to put it nicely. Essentially it looks like a standard coffee mug where a moderately wipe lip has been bent out of it, and with a slightly larger handle, but inherently very plain. Without a lid to top it off, its surprising ordinariness is exposed somewhat.It’s well presented in a posh box and certainly feels smart, but if you bring this out as Sunday best for a family dinner, be prepared for nobody to bat an eyelid at it. It’s fine, well made and rather well weighted, but if you enjoy the showy aspect of good crockery, this hasn’t got it.

I’d been looking to get a milk jug for a while and this one fits the bill perfectly for me. I like it because it feels good quality, it’s microwave and dishwasher safe and it’s got a simple clean white design so fits in well with our other table wear. When I saw the packaging and the items them self it immediately looked like something you’d give as a wedding present so if you’re looking for a gift for that kind of occasion I’d recommend it. I’m planning on using the milk jug also to serve gravy which it’s also perfect for in my opinion. Overall I’m really pleased with the set and would recommend.
