FUN FUN FUN! All auto, no hand control.
First off, I was a bit apprehensive ordering this because I couldn't find any info or a single review ANYWHERE on the internet. But Amazon has a good return policy, and the company is based in California and has a very good reputation.I'm a 39 year old female, and haven't been on a skateboard or snowboard in 8 years. But I spent 25 years doing both practically on the daily, and I miss riding.I was actually looking for a hoverboard after playing with my niece's, until her dad showed me videos of the one track. One track is way more my flavor, but I'm not fortunate enough to have $1500 to burn so I started researching electric skateboards. The first thing that struck me after opening the package was that there was no hand control. All the eboards I've seen have a hand controller. When I read the instructions, I realized just how fortunate this board is, especially for the price. It has a sensor on the tail that kicks in the motor when your foot is on it. So you just kick to the speed you want to ride and put your foot on the sensor and it maintains that speed. So far I've only taken it on a slight uphill but it kept speed perfectly. To stop you move your foot off the sensor and it slowly stops so you don't get thrown off the board. The only negative is that the sensor takes up almost all the tail, and if your foot is even on one Dot of the sensor it will keep going. If they just took off the sensor Dot closest to the tail or extended the tail an inch it would be a bit easier to stop. I've had to jump off a couple times, but I guess that's effective too, and no different from a manual skateboard.Goes over pavement cracks ok, but a slightly raised section of sidewalk proved too much for it and I almost ate it. ALMOST.Turning radius is a bit wide, but it carves great and is very intuitive. I've let a couple other people ride it and they fell in love as much as I have.So far I've gotten a couple hours off a full charge and it's still going. Takes about 2 hours to charge.I haven't ridden any other eboards, but if you're looking, just stop right here. Buy it. You won't be disappointed. And your free hands will thank you.
