This should absolutely have been recorded to CD and been made available for streaming. Luckily, you can hear this beautiful soundtrack on youtube. If you listen, I'm betting you'll love it. Better still, listen while you're watching the movie, which is a small gem. It was made on a shoestring, a bit short on production values, but with a terrific cast and excellent actingI wish some famous musician would take note of the fact that this could be the most underrated soundtrack in all of movie-dom. It's perfectly tailored to the scenes. I love the last ballad the best, "The Wedding Song," which is haunting and gorgeous. The movie is a small gem, not much on production values, but well cast and with great acting, a good script and a lot of heart.

It's hard to believe that the soundtrack to The Lords of Flatbush is not on CD. This movie came out in 1974, and had people like Sylvester Stalone(Pre - Rocky), and Henry Winkler(Pre - Happy Day's). The music was composed by Joseph Brooks. One song that really stands out, and my favorite is "A Very Fine Day". If you watch the movie, you'll see that each sequence has it's own song. It's kinda like a Rock Opera being played out. This movie cost only $160,000.00 to make. The quality may not be the best, but the movie is a lot of fun. The soundtrack is great because you truly remember the songs from watching the movie. The other day, my friends and I had a conversation about legendary movies to watch like - Scarface, Austin Powers, Goodfellas, Bronx Tale, The Godfather, Carlito's Way, American Graffitti, and I mentioned The Lords of Flatbush. They said they've never seen The Lords of Flatbush, so I allowed them to view my dvd. Now they're hooked. Everyone who see's this movie get's hooked! The soundtrack grasps you the same way, which is why it should be released on CD. They should also release the Rock & Roll Documentary entitled "Let The Good Times Roll" which was originally on Bell Records, which is now Arista/BMG/CBS. "Let The Good Times Roll" should also be released on DVD. I hope someone reads this and takes action! Both of these movies were a big part of growing up in the 70's.

I would much like to own a cd soundtrack for Lords of Flatbush. I recently purchased this movie in dvd. It's a great movie on morals during one's teenage life and finding oneself at this stage in our lives.
