Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Class I, 1-1/4 in. Receiver, Compatible with Select Scion xD

Perfect for, wished the shipping box was better packed but this fits our Scion perfectly! I would recommend this to anyone. The installation instructions leave a little to be desired but I'm mechanically inclined so by looking at the hitch and under the car it's very very easy to figure out how to install it. Word of advice you need 2 sockets of each size the instructions tell you is needed. Space is too tight to try and use an standard wrench. Hardest part of install was taking off the plastic cover attached to the read bumper. The plastic expandable rivets were hard to remove. Otherwise everything else is straight forward. No need to drop the exhaust either. Additionally no drilling required. Simply bolt on and done. Installed on a 2008 Scion XD.

Extremely easy installation on my Scion XD. Drove rear wheels onto ramps, and managed to install within 30 minutes. Can manage carrying a "CURT 18145 Basket Style Cargo Carrier" with relative ease.The only worry is that during installation, the exhaust must be moved out of the way (no big deal) but the receiver itseld must be pushed HARD against the plastic underneath the bumper. Mine had already come undone from the plastic pins, but in case you are worried about the pristine condition of your underside of the car, this may cause some apprehension. besides that tough spot, though, it was the easiest installation I could have hoped for.I received this product used, at $88 without any discounts, and am leaving an Honest and Unbiased review for other Scion XD owners.

Clear installation instructions. Took less than an hour and works well.

Item has a defect. There's a piece of metal inside the hitch which interferes and blocks any attachment going into it. A hitch mounted bike rack and a hitch adapter cannot be used because the pin holes do not line up to let the pin in.

Mixed experience with this hitch. The hitch itself fit my 2008 xD perfectly. Although taking longer than the 20 minutes suggested, installation was relatively easy, even without jacking up the car or dropping the exhaust. On the other hand, I was disappointed with the condition of the the hitch. It arrived "banged up" -- with deep scars and many flaws in the finish and at least one area where it had already started rusting. I was not amused but had an immediate application, so didn't have time to refinish it or wait for a resolution from the seller. As is, the durability of this hitch is in question. When I have some time, I'll uninstall, refinish, and reinstall the hitch. But. Really. That's a lot of extra work that I shouldn't have to do.

We have a Scion xD 2010. I had to temporarily lower the exhaust (easy if you use a little lithium grease) and ended up removing the plastic cover attached to the read bumper (expandable rivets were not bad to remove with a screwdriver & flat hex wrench that comes free with furniture we put together). Those "prep" items aside the install was pretty straightforward. Just 6 hex huts and all set. I will provide an update once we drive around a little more.9/2019Seems to still be working as expeceted

Fits great and I've been using it for about a year now with my Rhino Rack bike rack.

Purchased this hitch so that I would be able to add a cargo carrier to my Scion xD. Installation was quick and easy- did not even have to bother with jacking the vehicle up to get it installed. Purchased the Curt 18140 carrier to go along with this and it is a perfect fit.
