Yukon: A Wilder Place Hardcover – January 24, 2012

This is a beautiful book on the Yukon landscape and wildlife. The book is all about wilderness and a slow look through it is likely to give the reader a real feel for wilderness.When you know a photographer has spent at least 20 years photographing a place before he publishes a book, you expect some unique and beautiful images, and this book has plenty of them. It contains several outstanding bear scenes, some of the best I have seen.This book gives the reader a rare look into one of the last major wild places on our planet and it is a beauty !

I've searched for a while for a book about this region and Yukon - A Wilder Place really does it, the first truly dedicated book on this region. Fantastic photography, very informative and all well put into one book. If anybody is seeking some picturesque photography and ample information for this part of the far north, Yukon - A Wilder Place will more than satisfy the curious mind. Outstanding book, hard to beat, 5 stars as goes by me.

So far, I am enjoying my Yukon Book very much. I recently returned from a trip to Yukon Territory and find this book to be an accurate representation of what I experienced on my trip. Thank you.
