Definitely the essential Dean Martin. I have listened to a lot of Dean, and the Rat Pack as well. I often find that there are a lot of tracks that start, or are just done half heartedly which I would really like to hear properly. This album is the first Album I have found where you get really good solid versions of these tracks that are not given the attention they deserve elsewhere. The melodies and rhythms make this an album that is worth listening to again and again. I had played the first disc several times over a couple of days before I even really noticed there was a second disk in the box as well. It is not often that I hear a CD and think, I am definitely going to have to go on Amazon and write a review of this, but this was one of those times.

The 3 Disc set "Volare" has all of these songs plus additional tracks.This is a good set but you can get more.

Dean Martin at his best, great selection of tunes, timeless. Everybody should listen to this great artist. Always the best!
