Interesting coconut flavor
This is the first time I've used pure cordyceps and not just in a blend and was surprised how strongly it smells and tastes like toasted coconut. It works for me since I blend it in my protein shakes with peanut butter and chocolate.Great value when you start comparing ounce to ounce.

Excellent cordyceps mushroom powder.
I add a variety of mushroom powders to my morning coffee. Cordyceps is one of these ingredients. I transferred the contents of the sturdy foil zip lock packet into a plastic container (with tight lid to minimize moisture exposure). Did a quick sample taste test of this mushroom, and it tasted like my other cordyceps supply. Added it to the morning java, and noticed nothing unusual, so it fit in as expected. The package carries badges that show Third Party Tested, GMP and Vegan. I mostly appreciate the Good Manufacturing Practices, followed by the Third Party Tested notifications. The product is exactly as expected, and matches the descriptions and depictions in the product details.Attached are photos to show aspects of the product, including a picture of the mushroom powder in my container. The product earns a solid 4 star rating, with a high level recommendation.

Developed awful migraines
Flavor was nice but I had started to get pretty bad migraines shortly after consuming product. Not sure what else to attribute it to. This was the only new thing I implemented besides having a cup of coffee instead of tea.Need to be wary of less expensive supplemen suppliers.

Unusual flavor. Variety of potential benefits. Some lead. Other options
First the benefits of this strange mushroom. My doctor recommended more mushrooms in my diet for cardio health, and supplements are easy. I'm not sure if Cordyceps is used for hypertension, but it's definitely been used traditionally (TCM, traditional Chinese medicine) for high cholesterol and irregular heartbeat. It's also been used traditionally for kidney and liver disorders, decrease night time urination, anemia, vertigo, tinnitus, to restore appetite, and addiction issues. In recent months, a lot of people are discovering things like cordyceps for their immune support. It has been used traditionally to treat treat coughs, bronchitis, & respiratory illness. Please realize there are probably a 1,000 other roots, fungus, herbs, etc, on our planet that have been used traditionally (and very effectively) as anti-virals.The flavor is definitely unique, a bit of a mushroom taste, but complex. On the one hand I can why people mix sweet things, like nut butter and chocolate (like a malt smoothie). But I think it's more savory, would go better with broth. On the lead, realize that mushrooms are basically the "liver" of the planet. They tend to pick up heavy metals and other stuff in the ground (if they're tested, which they often aren't). Most lead exposure is industrial waste or intentional (they're pretty good at removing lead from paint, but it's still in so many products, like dishes and coffee mugs). Plus there are small, natural levels of lead in the ground. Those are my guesses as to why this product would test positive for lead.My understanding is the level is equivalent to 0.8ppm (someone else had a much higher estimate, I can't figure out where they got their math). So for comparison sake, the FDA allows 0.1ppm for candy (things children tend to eat), and 0.05ppm for bottled water. In food and supplements, the allowable level is much higher. You're probably getting tons of lead you don't realize, and for that you should be angry at the FDA and EPA for failing us, and for the industries that pollute (not at this company).
