One of my biggest problems when I use headphones is that I end up needing to charge my phone so I have to shut everything down to charge the phone. But when you are in that groove. Whether you are listening to an audiobook, podcasts, talking on the phone with somebody, music, etc. it can be a pain in the butt to have to disconnect just to charge the phone.This item allows me to charge my phone (on the wall) Or using a portable chargerOverall the items seems to work very well. I’ve had a few moments where it has disconnected me or fizzled out completely but it is what it is.For the price and the amount of times it does work properly I’m quite happy with it

I just received my adapter this week and got two, well one and a half good uses out of it. When I initially plugged it into my phone it said "Accessory Not Supported." I then learned a trick to plug in both my headphones and charger into the adapter first and then plug into my phone. The very first time I used it, it worked perfectly fine. No complaints. I stored it in the original plastic package to keep it from getting damaged. When trying to use it for the second time, I had to wiggle it for it charge, and wiggle it once more for the headphone port to work. The slightest movement made it stop working either on the headphone side or the charger side. I finally gotten frustrated enough and when taking the adapter out of my phone, a little piece was left behind in my phone. Luckily I had tweezers in my purse. Moral of the story, save your money. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for.

This device failed to work right out of the package I received today. Would not stay securely plugged into myiPhone 8. Junk, in my view.

The first adapter I received didn't work with my iPhone 8 (error message of accessory not compatible). I contacted the seller who was very responsive and kindly sent me two replacements. Unfortunately, both replacements only work with charging, but not with the headphones. My iPhone 8 doesn't recognize the connection as headphones. Judging from the numerous comments about various problematic iPhone splitters, I may have to give up on this solution. I really expect Apple to do better than this.

I was so excited for this product to come. In the course of 60 seconds, I first connected the power and lightning headphones and I t actually WORKED as advertised, then I tried the Lightning headphone adapter and it didn’t work. Then I gently pulled it out and the Lightening chip remains stuck in my phone while the splitter was in my fingers. On top of this, the seller has no return or exchange policy.I would legit be happy to return this clearly DAMAGED one to give a new one a chance. And if the seller does not reach out to me to attempt to rectify the situation, I will be contacting Amazon. And hopefully I can in stick the chip protruding from my phone without destroying the female... I would give durability 0 stars but not sure if it would show on review.

Save your money and buy a different adapter.I bought this a few weeks ago so I could charge my phone and use head phones. Well the adapter is very flimsy. I’m scared it will break off into my phone.As for it’s intended use-it doesn’t do its job.Half the time my iPhone will say it won’t support it, the other half my video/show will randomly pause (quite frequently too) because it thinks I pulled out my headphones but in reality I’m not even touching my phone.

BE WARNED: This item is marked ineligible for return. There is a good chance that you will have problems with it and Amazon will not let you return it. This product is terrible. Audio and phone charging cut in and out. I had my head phones plugged in and thought it was charging all day. But then I got the alert that my battery was low. Turns out it hadn’t been charging. Today my phone kept saying that the device was not compatible when I plugged in the headphones so I couldn’t use it at all. I’ve only had it for 5 days. What a waste of money.

You have to plug and unplug it multiple times for it to connect. If you pause a show on Hulu, Netflix, HBO, etc., it disconnects and then you have to mess with it for 5 minutes for it to connect again. Device will be plugged in completely and it's a toss up on whether or not it will actually connect and charge and enable audio on headphones. Definitely regret the purchase.
