I have been having a lot of fun with these lights. All of them worked right out of the box. The way they work is that they activate instantly when dropped into water. In the photo, I put a tiny bit of water in the bottom of a votive holder then added the tea lights. Easy. I have been using these tea lights in the evening and so far, they have been on for a total of 12 hours and do not appear to have dimmed at all. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to wear down the battery but so far I am impressed. These were a great value and do everything I had hoped for. I especially like that the batteries are inexpensive CR2032s that I can buy in bulk on Amazon.PS: I had guests over and they noticed them right away. They thought they were fantastic alternative to candles.

What a pleasant surprise! You drop them in any water and they work great, last for hours and they make me happy. Little things in life!Oh and they unscrew in the back to change out the battery, no tiny screw drivers needed.I use them in the bath tub, all I need is a lily pad lol! I put them in decorative plastic bags with water, by Modgy which come with a set but I wanted more.

All lights were in working order. I made sure each was tight before putting in pool (they were all screwed tight as shipped). They did bunch together, but that is physics and was expected...Ordered two sets for pool and hot tub. More is better - I wished I had ordered 3 sets, but fortunately had lots of twinkle lights on palm trees and tiki torches going, so magical effect was still good. If you only have pool to light up, two sets is probably fine.

Purchased for something different for NYE 2020 and wasn’t disappointed! These are spectacular and I will be ordering more for dinner/wine poolside. It’s mesmerizing watching them move about the water with just a little wind in the air.Would also make great gifts for anyone afraid of fire (anti candle), just a small amount of water in a votive or vase and these flicker beautifully!

Got these for my hot tub. I installed a new motor and circuit board in the tub and no longer have the dc powered lights so needed something for night use. These work great. Once in awhile even after taking them out of the water and setting them on a dry surface they don't turn off, but overall value of them and how they light up the tub is worth the purchase!

I put down a bowl of water, put a bit of food coloring in the water and then dropped in one of these into the water and they made a nice and easy centerpiece. The lights glow yellow and add the ambiance of a candle without the fire or wax. They were on for over 5 hours at the party and still work.

Loved the fact that batteries were included. These are throwaways but with that said they should last for a long time. The led light flickers like a candle. Very good value. I throw them in the pool at night when I have people over at night .
