This thing is nicely made and feels like a quality product. I immediately tried it on my Unlocked Samsung Note 9 that had just been upgraded to Android Pi. At the other end I used a cheap 2-3 year old Vizio 50" TV. Samsung screen data appeared immediately telling me to use genuine Samsung Dex products, but I could not mirror the phone screen. Then I figured out there was information in a pull-down menu. When I enabled screen mirroring from that menu, everything worked immedietly and I was able to test on movies from Netflix and Acorn, including subtitles and sound. All worked as advertised.

So after using it for a while ny main issues are1. It heats up from the HDMI Arc port extremely bad,2. The picture quality doesn't seem to transmit very well when used from macbook pro 18" to my lg 4k tv screen, of course its not supposed to transmit upto 4k i believe for this situation its limited to 1080 or 720, but it doesn't seem to stream properly.3. Well for the price its fair but the heat issue does have me worried so ive began looking for another alternative.Update!!! So after my initial review, the seller reached out to me to offer a exchange or refund, since i was looking for what i purchased, i said a replacement would be fine since they reassured me it was simply a defective cable, turns out they're all damaged and defective, i HIGHLY suggest looking else where, as i reached out to them yet again this time for a refund since the new cable heats up JUST as bad as the original which can cause major issues such as damage to your hdmi ports and or connected devices,DO NOT BUY!!!! You have been warned! WILL CAUSE HIGH HEAT

Hooked it up with no problem. Using it for my MacBook to my TV. Worked like a charm. Great quality as well. The wire is thick and connection is smooth.

Originally purchased about a year ago, exchanged it before 30 day window because the original cable flickered and never connected consistently. Replacement cable worked for awhile but died. Suspecting overall quality control issues, hence why this items is unavailable.

Works and built well enough to last a long time. Not much to complain about on a media converter like this.

Even though it said that it works for MacBook pro (2017) it didn’t work with my MacBook and my Samsung smart 4k tv. It seems that the MacBook doesn’t even recognize that cable is plugged in. I returned it and got my money back.
