Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder - 500G

This is definitely not the original Johnson & Johnson baby powder we all grew up with. Probably the closest thing though that we will ever be able to get. The scent and texture is a little off, the container is is a much firmer thicker type of plastic. It’s written in a foreign language (? Indonesia). I will use it as it’s alright, just don’t buy this with the expectation that it’s the original as it isn’t. Again like I said, it’s the closest thing you’ll probably ever get to the original formula. Just hope I don’t grow a third eye from this stuff LOL.

I like the smell although very different than the original scent. Smells fresh

Talcum power is hydrophobic, meaning it does not absorb moisture, so it keeps body bits dry.One star for the scent, I don't care for perfumed body products, but it is not terrible.I would purchase this product again.It is a shame that one or two people's misuse of talcum powder has made it almost impossible to find it in stores. Maybe government should control such a dangerous product such as this like they do with guns in the US.Talc doesn't kill people. People kill people.

If you like the "original" powder, buy this! NOT CORNSTARCH!

I miss the old powder. This one has a scent that reminds me of old peoples powder at church. I’ll use it as I need powder when it’s hot and humid.

The original Johnson's Baby Powder was/is Talcum Powder, and it's used for MUCH more than powdering babies. And let's be clear, Talc is not the same thing as corn starch (or any other wannabe substitute). Johnson's (baby) talcum powder works great for setting/sealing stage makeup (eg: white-faced clowns, mimes, etc) -- on the other hand, corn starch turns the makeup into a horrid gooey mess. Talcum powder helps keep fingers dry inside latex gloves and Talcum powder is great to protect sensitive latex prosthetics. Talcum powder is also very good at keeping skin dry and yet smooth/friction-free. Corn starch is a gigantic failure for all of these uses.Because of Johnson&Johnson's ridiculous decision to stop selling talcum powder completely (not even rebranded AS talcum powder) in north america, those of us who use it for some of those many other things now have a difficult time in finding an alternative source. I ordered this product as it appeared to be the original J&J talcum powder, not the corn starch version. I have received the item and can report that it is indeed talcum powder. But there is a difference in the perfume smell compared to the north american version -- this version has a smell of lavender, so it's not quite the same as the original Canadian/US product. But thankfully, it's talc powder. Packaging is pretty much the same as north american version - see attached photos. My real complaint is the absolute RIPOFF price everyone outside north america is charging for what was (and still should be) a fairly inexpensive product.

Its lovely, brought for my Dad only criticism is its a bit expensive when you can pick this up in the shopsfor about £2 less
