I built a custom firepit out of stone and needed a manual igniter. Since this wasn't attached to metal and both units weren't grounded, I added a 16 AWG wire with terminals to complete the circuit and attached it to the optional spade terminal on the button. Drilled a hole to mount the push button in the wall and mounted the igniter to the pan. Works perfectly.

Replaced the battery operated lighter on my Turbo grill with this. This was a perfect fit and lights within 2 or 3 times.

It worked for me after making all kinds of adjustments. It all depends on your grill type. Must be grounded and must be very close to steel to make the spark. But it did work!

Got these to make a potato cannon with my son for that purpose they work great and they are cheap so you can have an extra laying around just incase

I installed these ignitors on a barbecue grill and initially only got weak sparks. After installing a ground wire from the metal tab on the ignitor housing to the grill itself, I got strong sparks that lit the burners.

Item works well, even after some modification to fit our stove, but it make such a "bang" when pressing the button to spark the gas that I don't use it in the early morning.

These igniters are excellent, lights fist time every time.
