Really nice item! Seems sturdy and well-made. The plug attached is USB but also comes with a wall plug converter. You could plug it into a computer, spare battery or a regular wall plug.I took half a medium sized geode and placed it on top and got a nice night light. I found the light to be a bit too bright so I just took a small piece of paper and put it over the light and that toned down the brightness quite a bit. I suppose you could also put a colored piece of paper over the light or a small colored piece of glass if you wanted to change the color. Overall I'm very happy with the outcome and the product.One picture I posted is of the light when it is dimmed and the other pic when the light is unobstructed.

This is Bright! I have a piece of quartz on display and I use it to light up the entire room.Great value, and it's low profile is welcome.

This wood LED light base is attractive and very bright, it lights up my Selenite candle holder well. The only issue with it is that the LED's get very hot, perhaps a fire hazzard if left on overnight with a crystal placed on it. If you do place a crystal on it, place coins under it so there is room for the heat to escape.

Well made. Good quality. The light is intense and bright. More bright than any display base I've ever had before. Therefore, it isn't the best choice for clear glass at eye level, or something that doesn't cover the lights. Is is, however, perfect for a larger object, or dark glass. I have a pure cobalt blue thick glass object that has never had proper illumination due to it's density, but now it does. I also have a very dark chromium green large bowl that this can bring to life with that inner glow. If you need clear, intense and bright, you've found what you're looking for. Good quality, too.

Does what it says but as others have said is super bright, although this can be mitigated with paper "filter." The quality of the wood varies from unit to unit. One of the wall warts went to very low power after about a month of solid on-time but was easily replaced with one from a Samsung phone. (Should you decide to do something similar make sure the voltage matches!)

It lights up my glass work wonderfully!

This is a very nice light. It is bright enough for whatever is needed but it is also not blinding. It does heat up a bit whatever is on top but just enough to make them warm.
