Full Size New German Double Bass Bow Pernambuco Performance for Advanced Level! Art No.310BG 4/4

A friend bought this bow for me a year ago. I was just going into high school and about to be in the Advanced Orchestra. After a year of being beaten up and used about 3 hours a day, it still looks and works great. A few times this year I have had middle schoolers come in and use my bow. They did, of course, over tighten it and no doubt dropped it a few times on top of using it completely wrong. But it still works very well. On the latest occasion, a middle schooler tightened it so much it was frowning very noticeably (If you were tought the frowning vs smiling bow tightening strategy). After that, I found I had to tighten it slightly more than usual and I had to apply rosin more so than usual. But that can be expected after someone almost destroys your bow. A side note: I'm not sure if it's just how black horsehair works, but this bow required me to apply rosin a lot. When it runs out of rosin, it goes from very loud to producing absolutly no sound at all very quickly (quickly as in during 1 song). Thank God, it did not run out on me during a concert, but just remember that you may need to bring some emergency rosin with you just in case. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. If you are a high schooler like me, you will love this as it is very affordable for a top notch bow. Far superior to the old, extremely worn schools bows you borrow. I recently switched to playing cello and I plan to buy a bow from this company because I am confident I will get a good bow.

Purchased for my son who is a bass player and has played in our local Philharmonic Orchestra and in his college orchestra and he states it is a fine bow. The customer service is second to none. Great job.

This bow is great for students or as a backup. The bow I received has a good bounce, but is a little too tip heavy. The hair is rather fragile and breaks frequently, but it is grippy enough once you break it in. This bow is FAR superior to the horrible Glasser bows that many beginners start out with, and at a much lower price.

We purchased the advanced bow but noticed upon receiving that the hair is very thin in one area. The quality seems to be sacrificed. Our instructor told us to hang on to this one as a back up and while we were waiting on the better quality one to arrive. Upon the 4th or 5th time of being used, the bow cracked.

This is a great bow overall, I will say that it is a bit tip-heavy and definitely requires some knowledge to use

木工の丁寧な加工と仕上げ、太さの揃った毛に満足している。少し気になったのはスティックの湾曲が強くて毛を適切なテンションにで張ってもスティックと毛の距離が４ｍｍくらいしかない事。ただ馴れの問題とは思っている。
