My second belt from hanks, should tell you what I think of the quality. Yes, they're pricey, but extremely well built, supportive, and good looking. I own a brown and a black, brown looks much nicer in my opinion.My edc is a sti tactical 9mm with 20 Rd mag in gun and backup. Most days, this belt is carrying a full length dust cover 2011 & 40+ rds. Comfortably. The kydex really helps sagging, and I don't have to cinch this belt down so tight your losing blood in your toes to hold the weight from wobbling with every step like my other gun belts. My first belt is approximately a year old, looks great yet. Full disclosure, I broke the kydex in oldest belt, still works "ok". Breaking the kydex band was my mistake, not a flaw in hanks quality. It still works better than my cheaper belts (including other kydex reinforced belts) even being broke at the 6 of clock position).For a lighter setup, you probably don't NEED a kydex reinforced hanks belt...but when you do need that weight capacity, hanks delivers in style. Even when I'm not carrying, still wearing the hanks belt.Thank you for the quality product, look forward to buying more in 50 years when I finally wear these 2 out ;)

Well made, no sagging of material (holds shape).

This is the greatest belt I ever purchased, and I don't even carry firearms or ammunition around.All of my life, like most of my clothes and accessories, I've purchased belts and then absolutely torn through them within a short period of time. If the belt lasted a whole year, it was a miracle, and even then it'd be warped version of itself. I'm hard on my clothes because I push my strength to move my larger body around at the same rate as the average person, I think, and things typically just aren't built sturdy enough for me.But this belt? It not only withstands me, it withstands me for years on end, without any warp in its shape whatsoever, same as the day I bought it. And it's sturdier and more comfortable than any leather belt I've ever had. I loved it so much, I purchased three more.

Initial impressions are first that it is a quality belt with good leather and stitching. The Kydex insert is stiff and provides great strength to hold up my handgun and holster without sagging or tilting. The thickness and width are also good as it fits the belt loops on all my jeans and trousers and the clips of my IWB holster also fits well. It certainly looks and feels like this belt will be a long lasting, reliable gun belt. My only complaint is the sizing oddities. The belt fits, but is near the tightest hole. I measured my previous belt per sizing instructions on the Hanks website and it was just a bit under 36 inches. I wear 32 inch waist size jeans, which conflicts, but I went with the sizing instructions and their recommendation to go larger and bought the size 40. Now that I have it, I should have bought the size 38. If I lose weight (likely), I may need to buy the smaller belt as I am just about out of adjustment range. The portion of the belt that has the holes could use a bit of reinforcement (maybe a layer of nylon webbing without the Kydex). This will be the weak point of the belt and would be the place where it would most likely break. Overall, I'm satisfied, but I will be looking for how well this belt holds up over the long term.

Seems like a solid belt. First gun belt so I don't have anything else to compare it to other than regular belts you could buy at Kohl's (don't use those btw). Carry a PPQ M2 compact IWB and it works very well. Note: I typically wear a 32" belt when not carrying so I ordered the 36" thinking that would work. It did but it was on the last belt hole for me and felt a bit tight. Not sure if that's my fault for how I wear my belts or the size of my holster. This is where their customer service came in. They emailed me after my purchase asking if everything was to my liking. I explained the sizing issue and they were totally on top of sending me out a 38" belt to replace what I had, no questions asked. Kept the old one until the new one came about a week later and then was able to send the old one back in the provided packaging. All in all, very good experience with them and a good product.

First off - Hank's customer service is great. I was really excited to try this belt! I used the on-line measuring guide on Hank's website and it suggested to 'size up' if in between sizes...so I did. I measured right at 35" and ordered the 40" belt. When the belt arrived the quality of the product was fantastic - however the belt was just too big for me. So, I ordered the 38" belt and found it to be too small.The issue with me and this belt was that there are just six sizing holes on this belt and to have the 38" belt work for me I would have needed two more holes - however those extra two holes that I needed for my fit would have had to have been punched through the kydex lining and nylon backer. I believe this belt would have been great if I was a true 34. With the 38" belt there just wasn't enough room for me...and the 40" belt had way too much extra length.Solution! I sent these back and ordered the 38' stitched gunner belt without the kydex lining. This belt has 8 sizing holes and allows me to have a belt that is more flexible for different needs, as well as a growing / shrinking waistline depending on what time of year. As for the stitched gunner belts from Hank's - these get a 5 for quality. Oh, and if I didn't already mention - Hank's gets a 5 for customer service too!

This belt is well made. It arrived with no loose or frayed stitching and no blemishes or imperfections in the leather. The belt buckle is firmly held in place with chicago screws. The belt really holds a firearm close to the body. I tried it with a dual clip leather hybrid and a single clip all kydex holster and it performed very well with both. I did not try it with any owb style holsters. Like most I was skeptical about the price, but I definitely feel now that this belt was the right choice. If you are on the fence about picking one of these belts up I say do it! Your bank account might regret it but you most definitely will not!
