The lather, silkiness, and mild clean fresh scent will be making this a regular go to in my lineup...I have been shaving my head for a few years now; mostly using an rotary electric when I am in a hurry. This morning I used Colonel Conk's AMBER and it felt like when I was a kid outside in the snow on a 'flying saucer' - the razor just glided along and the smoothness of my head is unlike anything I have previously experienced.The closeness I have from enough lather for two complete passes (head and face) gives me a better understanding of how many people describe wet shaving as a ritual...something that I can appreciate and do for myself on a regular basis.If you've not tried wet shaving; it is a treat.If you are looking for a great soap that lathers well and protects, you will be well pleased with this!

I have been buying this shave soap for decades. Recently Col Conk changed the formula. I used this new version & I was very disappointed. Upon lathering it on my face this new version immediately was absorbed. into my skin even after applying the soap three times. I had bought two of these & returned one. I found an original version one at a local drug store. Unfortunately, it was their last one. After I finish this one, I will buy a different brand.

I’m enjoying this shave soap completely. The light amber scent and creamy lather make for a great shave. I’m happy with my purchase.

My wife ordered this for me by mistake. She was supposed to order the Bay Rum variety but it turned out to be a happy accident. This COL Conk Amber super bar shaving soap is every bit as good as the Bay Rum. It lathers very well with minimal elbow grease and helps provide a slick, protected coating that reduces irritation and razor burn. It's transparent like a bar of Neutrogena soap and it smells like cherries. I just love shaving with this. Highly recommended.

This soap is better than any canned spray soap or anything else I have used. A single bar lasts months. Nothing quite compares to this product, honestly.

This is my second experience with a Conk product, the first being the Bay Rum shave soap. I really like the product. It lathers very nicely, feels good and smells good. The smell is interesting. Obviously amber has no smell, so they had to improvise. It is not off putting at all, I guess it is just that I can't place it that makes it kinda weird for me. I like it, just can't place it. All in all a top product. Highly recommended.
