Echo Dot (2nd Generation) Speaker Dock | Portable, Premium 360 Sound, 10 Hours of Playtime, Rechargeable Battery | Amazon Alexa Accessories | Smart Home Audio | Grey (Echo Dot Not Included)

Spent a few days so far with this dock. Have Google Home, Home Minis, full sized Echo and Echo Dots, along with numerous portable Bluetooth speakers. Overall its sound at comparable db is fuller than Echo or Home with richer base & lows. It can get louder than either Echo or Home, however with some base heavy music around 85-90% it sometimes gets a little distorted. Still, whole different level of quality vs. the Echo Dot by itself, and a little better audio quality than the full sized Echo.Wasn't able to fully test battery life, but it did make it a solid 6 hours with still 2 lights on batter indicator so likely had another couple hours. Build quality was better than expected. Really nice plastic & rubber, and the cloth outside looks great.All in all, it + a Dot is roughly the same cost as a full size Echo (or maybe a little less), but better audio and PORTABLE. If you already have a Dot this is a great way to enhance the audio experience, with the added benefit of portability.

That was easy. The side panel opens to facilitate the power and sound port connections. Very pleased with the sound. Attractive looking. Haven't tried the battery power yet.I usually use cheap bluetooth speakers for playing from my iPhone and am trying out the bluetooth features of the Echo Dot, but so far, they play at a very low volume requiring me to punch up the volume temporarily. Not a perfect work around.

Advertised for 10 hours. Maybe if the volume is pretty low. At normal volume it might be 5 hours, which for my needs is fine. The volume doesnt get all that high and my neighbors are likely pleased.A few months later I have found that it does not charge, even with different cords and bricks. When listening music certain parts of the song cant be heard. Other Echos do fine, this speakers is now a paperweight and I don't have paper. Don't waste your time and money.

I love this speaker dock for Alexa echo dots. Only for certain model echo dots but the description will tell you which. This smart speaker, is rechargeable! It will work 10 hours which I think is awesome! This speaker for Alexa is especially designed for those who just want an excellent musical playback on their music subscriptions This speaker has built in base & built in equalizers For a small to medium room, it puts out massive, awesome sound. You can play music on Alexa’s with screen? If you are looking for better sound quality in your music with Alexa. this is the only way to go! You do have to buy the echo dot seperate from this smart speaker dock. The echo dot fits in the top of it. Think this is for 2nd generation. Be sure to read the whole smart speaker description to buy the right one for it.I love it! For the speaker an echo dot only about $80.00 but I got a used echo dot. Highly recvommended smart speaker, comes in a few different colors.

I love the concept of this speaker base with battery for my 2nd Gen Dot. It was great to be able to take it around the house or outside so we could hear our timers and listen to music. Sure, the sound wasn't true 360 degree sound, but it was a huge improvement over the dot by itself. Things were great for that first month and half. Unfortunately, it went downhill pretty quickly. The base started losing sound, and it would kill the treble from the Dot and make Alexa or any music sound like it was in a tin can. The only way to fix it would be to reboot the base, which of course rebooted the Dot. That kept happening more and more. Then the base started refusing to hold a charge. More than 5 minutes unplugged from the wall and it'd die. I tried reaching out to customer service since I was beyond the Amazon return window, but they never bothered to respond. I guess they're just happy they got the money and aren't worried at all about supporting their products and providing any customer service.
