I do like it for exactly what it is
I used to have one of these as a child (which of course I broke) and wanted to remember it as an adult. It is very similar (yay!) The whole thing is 6 inches tall and plays a tinny version of carousel. the gold coloured enamel was tarnished with black marks, but the glass arrived intact and was almost exactly as I was expecting. I suspect it is a rather old piece, but I can't confirm that. I do like it for exactly what it is, a small, simple carousel.

The tones were tinny, the portion of melody was just a couple of short phrases. The appearance was ok, but it was very small. If something plays music, it ought to play it right and as well as possible. Otherwise, it could just be a rotating "toy."
