GONZO5001 Dead-End Mole & Gopher Trap

I bought 3 of these to help cull the crazy squirrel population in my yard. Might work well for smaller rodents, but not for squirrels. Setting was dead easy and just threw some bird seed in the back of the trap. Construction was solid. I set all 3 near my bird feeders last night and woke up to one with a wriggling squirrel in it - he was too big to fit in and the snap was not sufficient to terminate . Not a pleasant site. Took the mallet to it and wound up throwing the trap and rodent away. They worked great, but are very tough to set and did rust a bit. Still work well. Like all of these traps, tie them down! If you snag a rodent and do not remove right away, predators will take the meal and trap away. Fox recently carried the trap (managed to chew through the string tying it down) and left it in the street with half a squirrel. Then about 2 weeks ago, it disappeared. Same day as the one above. I suspect the fox took that one further away as it is much lighter.I am left with 1 WCS tube trap and 2 Gonzo. Gonzo snapped a squirrel this morning. Smaller rodent than before, but terminated. We’ve had a gopher problem for a year. We tried humane methods like castor oil, sonar repellent, and repellent pellets. Nothing worked. The little critter started digging up our expensive landscaping and that’s when we’ve had enough and decided on a more lasting solution. And because we have two dogs and a small child, as well as birds of prey that inhabit our area, we didn’t want to use any poison.Honestly, I didn’t expect this to work. It didn’t take long for a new tunnel to pop up, so once we identified the active tunnel, we set the trap. By morning, it caught the little guy. No blood and guts, no mess. My husband emptied the trap and it’s ready to be used again. We were pleasantly surprised!I think the challenge of using this trap and being successful with it is that you have to find the newest active tunnel. Once you do, it works like a charm.

This trap is absolutely amazing. Tried since summer of 24 to get rid of a gopher. Spend a lot of money and effort, nothing worked. Set this trap, 2 hours later, I trapped and eliminated the problem. 100% recommend it.

Order two of these black cylinder boxes to catch gopher or mole. Easy setup the trigger. Place it at the entrance of the hole. After a few of hours passed, the trigger was on. It may have gopher or mole inside. Pull it out and find all dirt inside. Very disappointed this product.

Very simple and easy to use. I guess I'm used to the old fashion square traps but this seemed to work okay. I wasn't sure exactly what I had but got him after a week with the trap in the ground.

We tried several attempts but gofer won't go for it... It always dig around it.It might be a good product but it didn't work out for us

It worked very well, I had setup the trap in the morning and gopher was trapped by everything, had not expected it would work so well, highly recommend it.

We caught our troublesome vole within 20 minutes of setting the trap! We did make sure to wear gloves to keep any scent off. It’s easy to set up and easy to remove and dispose the rodent. We wanted something that didn’t require using any bait or poison and this worked perfectly. Definitely worth the money.
