It's a jug, what can you expect? It's a sturdy design, BPA free, friendly cap, and "assembled and packaged in the USA."
Most people are not too demanding of their water jugs unless they have special athletic needs. If you're just a regular joe like me who doesn't spend their entire day on a treadmill or on the trail (and i don't mean that in a bad way), then this jug will suit you just fine. The handle is large and the build of the jug is very sturdy. Now, I'm not a water jug connoisseur so take this with a grain of salt, but I really like the cap design as well. The cap seals the opening tightly and it has a locking mechanism for when you're on the go. The only problem I had with the cap, which I'm going to chalk up to just a defective jug in the batch, was that on day 7 I opened the cap with the release button it has and the whole thing flew off. Turns out the hinge on the cap has a spring that must have come lose and couldn't hold the cap in place anymore. The spring must have been tiny because I couldn't find the darn thing to try to fix it myself.Worst part is that I was in my car and since the jug is too large to fit on the cup holder and it wasn't going to stay upright on its own, so I had to chug all 2 liters on my drive to work.Best part is that Amazon customer service came through and sent me a replacement jug with no questions asked. How funny; this is the longest review I've ever written and it's about a water jug.BOTTOM LINE:If you're someone looking to have an easy way to drink 2 liters of water a day using a jug that does the job, this jug is a fine choice. If the cap for the replacement jug doesn't break as well, I'll consider bumping it to 5 stars.

Easily the best water bottle I've had...
I've gone through so many...so freaking many water bottles...First of all I'm an avid cyclist, gym goer, runner, and swimmer. Needless to say, I drink a lot of water. I've tried so many water bottles that either don't give me a good flow, or I have to untwist the cap to let air in so I can gulp properly...or are too tiny or ungainly to carry... No matter the reason, I seem to find something about each water bottle that I've had, to make me hate it. For example, I usually love Contigo products. But the contigo water bottle I had, had a very annoying way of spritzing water on me whenever I opened the autoseal lever. And eventually it began leaking.Anyway, the Bluewave jug is seriously my favorite bottle to date. It's a great size, though I go through about 3-4 refills per day still. But I wouldn't trade it for anything else. What I LOVE, is that there is a tiny air hole on the cap, so when you're drinking it, you can get a constant flow of water, you don't have to remove your mouth, to let air back inside. This sounds like a tiny matter, but it's not, that's a HUGE bonus. The cap on top has a clear lock WITH a metal locking clip... CHA CHING! double protection from spills... I'm actually thinking of ordering another so I can swap back and forth I love it...

Sturdy, Doesn't Leak, Perfect
Best water bottle I've ever had. The cap is not flimsy, I'm not sure why so many people are having issues with their caps but maybe they changed how they make them. There is a hole (that water does NOT come out of) to let air in as you drink, and you can drink from any angle without anything spilling on you! The water doesn't have even the slightest hint of a plastic taste which is great, too.[update] Months later, the bottom part of where the button connected to the cap did detach. I am still giving this 5 stars, still the best water bottle I've ever had, and I drop it/throw it around all the time. I have used it all day every day since purchasing it, so I feel like I definitely got my money's worth. I just bought a new one because I didn't feel like superglueing the cap and putting the spring back in there.[update 2] 1 year later almost: I've basically thrown this thing around every day for the past year. The o-ring has fallen out twice and just recently one of the rubber hole stoppers (the small one) came off. Other than that - still the best water bottle I've ever had.

It's been so good for me
I use the heck out of this thing. It goes with me everywhere! It's been so good for me, because I tend to drink much more water (and therefore stay more hydrated) when I don't have to think about constantly refilling my water bottle, or trying to keep track of how many I've already drank. Eventually the plastic did crack though. After using it for maybe a year it fell off my car seat onto the floor and cracked. I got a little more use out of it by covering the spot in glue, but it's time to get a replacement, since even that is leaking now. My one complaint with the design is that there is a second hole in the lid designed to let air in, and more often than not a small quantity of water will pour out of it down my face while I'm drinking. It can be avoided if you're really paying attention, but it can definitely be a nuisance. Overall though, great water bottle.

Safe way to drink at the gym.
I would have given it 5 stars but it has once small design flaw. The bottom of the bottle is slightly raised in the middle. The straw lands on the raised part and when you are down to a small amount of water it flows to the sides of the bottom and the straw will not pick it up. Not too bad if it’s just water but I mix up some aminos in there.

drooling while drinking?!....
I love the whole concept of having one bottle that holds 64oz of water, but this second generation of the Bluewave Water Jug leaks in some ways. The mouth piece isn't like the first generation, sucking the water out. This mouth piece basically pours right out if you didn't snap the top shut. My second concern is that while drinking the water....right next to the mouth piece is a small hole that basically leaks water out while you are drinking. My problem is.... it leaks on me and my shirt making it seem like I'm drooling all over myself, quite embarrassing especially when i bring this jug to work. Im not sure if its just my jug but I don't think I'll be bringing this to work anymore even though I brought this jug for work.Edit:I received a replacement because of the leaking problem of the second hole. Much Better!!!

Pros and Cons
Pros: holds daily water intake, easy to hold (handle), easy to pop open, I like the 2 drinking options (with or without straw).Cons: Straw option - the pop on/off lid got loose after a few after a few days and now it no longer snaps shut. Prior to this (con #2): it will sometimes drip water if leaned over.Would be nice if the lid (straw option) was a little more durable and not so cheap. I am not longer able to take with me outside the house as the water will spill due to lid being broken.

No refills
Love my bottle. I wanted to increase my water intake but found myself forgetting to refill when I got busy at work. This great bottle holds my 2lts target so no refills. It's pretty chunky and comes with two lids so you can pick what works for you.

I was looking for something with a sport-style cap and this is perfect! Have owned for a few month now and have had no issues with leaking. Great for keeping track of your daily water intake.

Best water bottle I've bought
Love how it looks, just having it around motivates me to drink water. Just make sure you're aware of how big it is. Definitely couldn't fit in a small purse or bag.
