Dog Gone Smart Cat Litter Mat, 35-In by 26-In, Brown

I really like this mat. The design is playful and the mat is soft to the touch. It overall does do the job to limit tracking, but trying to vacuum it is more trouble than it's worth. The vacuum just keeps sucking up the mat. Instead I have to carry it down to flights to shake it out in the back of my house. Impossible to shake it into the litter boxes without getting litter everywhere.

I wish you could review in different categories. This litter rug works great, and it's so nice and soft. I just shake the litter back into the litter pan, and it certainly helps with tracking (a lot, actually). So, the reason I give it a 3 star is that it says it can be washed and then hung to dry. Well, do not wash it at home in a regular top load machine. It might be okay in a front load, but the rug spinning threw my machine so off balance that it shut itself off. I hope my washing machine still works. I needed to wash it all by itself, because a cat made a mess on it. It's like a microfiber mop that absorbs water like crazy, but it's like a HUGE mop that absorbs a HUGE amount of water. I'm going to have to wring it out little by little and hope it ever gets dry again. If the manufacturer can give me some hint about washing this thing since the tag says it can be washed, I'd be happy to hear how to do it. So, I'd say spot clean instead of trying to wash it! I bought one for my niece and my son I loved it so much, but buyers should know about the washing problem.

This litter mat is hard to destroy. My cat Lucifer used to rip up all the other litter mats we have tried with the exception of this one. The only downside is that my cats will pee on these mats (no idea why) and so I bought a few of them to continuously wash and it takes a couple days to hang up to dry. It works just as good as other litter cats, you will still see litter tracked through the house, but that's to be expected with a multiple cat house hold.

Nice and soft and cute! I use chicken crumble as litter for my cat and he's a slob always tracking stuff out. Sometimes the crumble pieces get stuck to the rug and must be brushed off by hand. Otherwise really good product, and my cat seems to love that its nice and soft. If I was to wash it since it is VERY heavy rug, I'd have to wash with a bunch of towels to even out the washing machine balance. I'm surprised that others tried to wash such a heavy item by itself. No wonder their machines couldn't handle it.

I was a little hesitant to order this mat - it seemed a bit expensive for a cat litter mat. I literally vacuumed every single day due to my cat running out of her litter box and carrying litter on her paws. This has eliminated 99% of the litter and 'litter dust' in my house. It is cute too! Easy to vacuum with my stick Dyson. I could not be happier.

The local pet store had it for double what I paid here on Amazon.The mat really does trap the kitty litter from being spread over! My cat's litter box is in my laundry room amd I was constantly sweeping up kitty litter until I put it under the litter box!! Love it!!!

This is a wonderful litter mat. It's large and helps shake off any extra litter on my cats feet. After getting this I noticed that my floor is more clean and I never step on little litter bits anymore. It's also great that I can machine wash this to kill any odors. Wonderful product.

Soft and seems to be working quite well. Doesn't get 100% of the litter of their feet but it is getting alot more that the old towel I was using before!
