Great series
My 8th grade student asked me to get him this. He is in my intensive reading class and he will willingly read this out loud to me before school. If this is the way I can motivate him to read, I'm on it!

Ganke is sorely missing
A very solid first outing out for Ahmed as he steps into the size 18 shoes left behind by Brian Michael Bendis. This wasn't half bad. I liked how Miles teams up with the Rhino to find some missing children. I dug seeing a different side of the Rhino. That seems to be one of Ahmed's strengths given he successfully used the Absorbing Man to be Black Bolt's best friend over in that title. Where this fell apart for me some is the lack of the supporting cast outside of Barbara. Everyone else was almost nonexistent, especially Ganke. The book could have definitely used more of Ganke's humor and wide-eyed amazement. The subplots with the assistant principal also felt very old and hackneyed. I half expected him to call Miles a slacker as he seemed to step directly out of Back to the Future.Javier Garron's art was very solid. And kudos for making it through all 6 issues without a fill-in. That's some professionalism rarely seen by today's comic book artists.

Great
Brian Michael bendis did a great job with miles morales and saladin ahmed did well to but he could've done ganke a bit better other than that it was great. Edit miles is great in here judge is great and the art is great 5/5

Worth the Money
My six-year-old son had no idea what a comic was, so it was time to educate without risking too much money investing in classics. This purchase was worth the money. I enjoyed reading the comic! The glossy pages offer captivating pictures and legible texts. Glad I bought it for him. He's still on the fence if he enjoys comics or not. Either way, this was a great purchase to test that.

Perfect combination of character, writing, and art.
Absolutely magical. Saladin Ahmed continues to show why he’s the best writer working in this medium today. He groks the character, the milieu, and collaborating with visual artists as well as anyone. The artwork fits Ahmed’s writing like a glove. I read this once, immersed in the story. I read it a second time to savor the little background details I missed the first time through. And I just finished my third reading just for fun.

Impressive!
Feels like they were trying to recapture some of the best of the -spirit- of the original 1960s issues (updated but still fresh) without, eg, recycling the stories. Nicely done...

Great!
Miles is a great character! It's cool how I can see his expressions through the mask sometimes. The story is good as well.

Brilliant and Fascinating Spiderman graphic novel!!
Miles Morales is so cool as Spiderman and this graphic novel delivers. Saladin Ahmed is marvellous as writer for this novel. The storylines are just great as the reader keeps up with Miles's hectic and exciting life as Spiderman. The artwork is just excellent and is so colourful. Miles Morales is an enigma in his own right and is fabulous as Spiderman. Saladin Ahmed's work continues to astound!!

Marvel by the numbers so a solid but not very imaginative book, it's all just a bit average.
It's pretty standard Marvel fare.
