HJXDtech Vintage Desk Lamp/Table Light/Bedside Study Office Banker's Lamp with Green Glass Shade,Wood Solid Base and Pull Switch

Clearly a cheap Chinese imitation of 'proper' lamps in this style, but looks and works fine for what I wanted. HOWEVER, after 12 months of use, I needed to remove the plug. See the photos below, of uninsulated wires that were nearly, nearly touching. It's a miracle that this didn't short out. Coupled with the fact that there was a 13amp fuse in the plug, I'd say that this is highly dangerous.

I have considered several different banker's lights recently but they have all been poor quality with scratches or chips on the shade on delivery and had to be returned. However, this light was in perfect condition upon arrival even though I had to wait over a week for it to arrive, plus it comes with a bulb which other lights don't tend to. I would have given this 5 stars, but I expected it to come stamped on the base with the word Artlamp as in a couple of the images on Amazon. Since Christmas, several more photos of this birch base light have appeared on Amazon, alongside the original photos and all the new photos have no "Artlamp" embossed word. Perhaps the company Artlamp no longer embosses their birch bases. The lamp I received was sold through Amazon, via a company called Prodigy 3 (based in Shenzhen).The dimensions given are the dimensions of the box the light arrives in - see photos. Although well packaged there was no leaflet or paperwork with advice on bulbs to use etc, which I find unusual for a quality light. The light itself is just over 36cms tall, and weight c. 1.5kg.

1. There is no Country of Origin indication on the item.2. Although the main part of the lamp is a metal tube frame, there is no earth wire, nor even a place to connect one. This is unsafe to use unless modified correctly.3. This item should not be allowed top be sold ion the UK.

Wonderful lamp for our desk. Fab quality and a British plug which is a bonus. Also was very well packed so no damageWould recommend

handsome, well finished, needed a bit of a dusting when it arrived but otherwise really quite lovely. i've had bankers' lamps more expensive than this one that weren't as well finished. the bulb it comes with, however, has some serious flicker going on. binned it almost immediately and replaced with a 5W LED E27 from ikea. other bulbs are available. noticeably more pleasant. the pull switch is an especially nice touch.

Can't tell the difference between this and a friends one who paid over a hundred. Good heavy lamp delivered well packed and with a bulb inc. Impressed with it .

I like the style of these lamps and I do like the little pull-cord it comes with.

Attractive lamp which gives off good light! Particularly good for the person bought for who has limited sight.
