I read some of the other reviews, so I knew what to expect about the dye and geodes not always being as vibrant as the photos. That was fine with me, I could give them a good rinse and the ones I got have some beautiful stripes of earth tones when you get a good look at them in person. What I wasn't expecting was the absolute lack of care in packing the bookends to ship.My geodes were wrapped in a single layer of thin bubble wrap and thrown into a box that was absurdly too big for them with no other padding. No packing peanuts, no newspaper. Just a couple of rocks smashing around the whole time they were shipping to me. This resulted in several huge chunks being broken off one of the bookends. These are for a Christmas gift, so I have no time to return them and find something new. I can only hope I'm able to work some craft magic with epoxy and fix them myself. Truly disappointing.

The crystals themselves were beautiful and colours were vibrant. Dyeing was not good as the dye came off all over my hands. They were large and definitely heavy enough for even large books. Quality is bad as I paid for bookends that look like the picture. While I understand that each pair is visually different, one of them came with a large gaping hole and the two were just not uniform. The listing said it was "Extra Quality", and I've done some research about this. There is a Brazilian wholesaler of agate crystal items around and for bookends, Extra Quality should be the highest quality classification. I think these were subpar as one of them had a huge hole in it. The bookends also came broken -- some chunks of crystals broke off and the box was torn and looked like it was going to fall apart.

When I bought these, I was under the impression that the would be a lot wider, and larger in size. They were also supposed to come with an authenticity card, which they didn't. I considered returning them for a bit, but then grew to appreciate how beautiful they actually are. The colors are very vibrant and they book ends themselves hold up more books than I expected. These would be perfect for someone wishing to contain a small amount of books and add some eye candy to the room. For your convenience, I've added a view images of the book ends. As you can see, they can hold substantially more books than I thought. I would give this product 6/10.

These are nice, heavy bookends that will indeed support books, however I didn't really like the geode itself. It really didn't have much character, and the purple version didn't look natural at all as It was dyed, so the outer "rock" shell was purple rather than brown. There was little variation of striping, in fact really none at all; just a flat, polished crystallized middle that was all the same dyed purple color. Pretty boring. I ordered a second one, just to see if I would get a better representation of a geode, like those shown in the pictures. The second set was a bit more interesting, but still had the overly-dyed appearance. I recommend buying these at a brick & mortar store, where you can actually pick out one that you like! These aren't cheap!

Love them! Super impressed with this seller and item. Ordered with prime yesterday, received today. Items were packaged nicely, arrived in good shape and came with the authenticity card. The items are absolutely beautiful and reasonably uniform in color and shape. I was not even expecting so much uniformity given that they are a natural product. Large and heavy (6 lbs) as indicated in the description. Will hold a good number of books though only used three for the included photo. Could not be happier!

Great bookends - beautiful finish, symmetry and perfect size! After buying and returning a 4-6 lb set from another seller, I learned from reviews that most people are happy with 6-9 lbs. Anything below that size is a toss up in terms of quality, symmetry and effectiveness as bookends. Your best chances for "as-pictured" quality, go with the 6-9 lbs sets.

Product arrived very slightly damaged, but I'm not too picky. Product was shipped in a box with tissue paper, it should be shipped better. What we rcvd was really disappointing. Nothing like the picture. Basically dark green with a few blue grey blurry lines. I'm going to look into returning.
