Review I bought this one for my mom. She was visiting from India. She was getting bored in cold winters of NY and staying home all day is hard. She really loved this book and told me that this is her one of fav book from now on. I am so glad that she liked it and she spend her time reading it. --By Adrian on December 22, 2013Its worth reading for all d human beings. My husband n son are a big fan of this book. Its written in a very simple day to day language --By Rama on August 18, 2013"In the original edition, coming from the period of Yogananda's life, one is more in contact with Yogananda himself. It is prior to his institutionalization that often follows many great personalities once they have passed on. While Yogananda founded centers and organizations, his concern was more with guiding individuals to direct communion with Divinity rather than with promoting any one church as opposed to another. This spirit is easier to grasp in the original edition of this great spiritual and yogic classic." --David Frawley, Director, American Institute of Vedic Studies --Editorial Reviews Synopsis A text, first published in 1950, in which the author's story is interwoven with reflections on the religious and scientific foundations of both eastern and western culture, and with accounts of his meetings with spiritual leaders such as Gandhi, Babaji, Therese Neumann and Rabindranath Tagore.
