Newer Spreader Model 125

I really like this spreader now, but had some issues with it when we first got it. I purchased the one with the Agitator, however, have found that it is not necessary with the type of material we are spreading (manure w/ mini flake) so we have removed it. I think that might be helpful for heavier material, but for our stuff it just pushed it through too quickly and didn't break the chunks apart. Now that we have removed that, it works much better and I don't have large pieces of manure being left behind. The only other issue I have with the spreader is the gap between the adjustable relief panel and drum is a bit wide. It would be better if there was a rubber flap installed to keep items from falling through and instead were pushed out the panel.

Our last one held out for 13 years of good hard work. This is same model but improved. Very efficient for our two standard and two minis. Spreads well and empties well. Hopefully this one will last another 13 good years! Worth it!

As a woman alone I wasn't able to get this thing put together all the way, but my wonderful farrier took it home with him one day and brought it back the next fully assembled, bless him! I'm glad to have it because it's a great option instead of adding to the manure pile on many days. The agitator doesn't work until the contents are getting low because then the gears are visible so then I dismount the garden tractor and give each one a good kick. Not ladylike, but it is what it is.

I am pleased with this. Assembly was not difficult. It spreads a load fairly quickly. And I did not have a problem with a bit of hay mixed in. I appreciate the cover with this because I don't get a full load that quickly unless cleaning the stalls. While you can pull it around empty by hand I certainly would not say it would be easy to do it loaded as a means to spread it.

This is a great device. It takes a while to assemble, but it well worth it. Quality components and easy to operate. Keeps me from creating a manure pile.

Met all expectations.
