Average quality materials and adequate workmanship. I have ordered several of these of the last few months and feel they look almost believable. The light that flashes when it detects movement really helps to make it more convincing. The solar panel on top does recharge the 3 AA batteries inside. As a suggestion for installation, I have found it easier to remove the camera body from the mounting bracket and install that first as space is really awkward to try to install it as one piece. It is then a simple matter to screw the body back once the bracket is secure. I use mine to make people aware that there is surveillance and as they look up, surprised by the flash, my real cameras capture their face. As we all know ball caps, hoodies, and downward looking faces do not make for good images.

We have 6 security cameras around the property and with the purchase of a couple of dummies has expanded to 8 units - this is nearly an exact duplicate to the real units except the real units do not have a flashing red LED light - they have a constant "Power On" light. I added a 9 volt "Power On" LED light that will require changing the battery once a year but considering the cost to add an additional camera to our system - this was a very cheap addition. If mixed in with other units - you cannot tell which camera is watching you and which is the dummy. The dummy camera comes with the mounting hardware that I DID NOT use. I used the same mounting hardware as the real units (much heavier unit) so had to drill the mounting holes a little larger plus I added a gasket (seal) between the building and the mount to look like the other units. If you are thinking about installing a 9 volt power on light - easy to do but don't forget to add the correct resistor to the circuit.

This thing is legit. It's clearly plastic which I didn't like, but from far away that doesn't matter and it looks real, especially on the lens area. The red light blinks every five seconds which actually does look realistic and is solar powered, but I still cut the solar cord so the light doesn't blink just in case someone knows about fake cameras our house doesn't look like an easy target. A lot of these cameras look real but I chose this one because it's bigger and noticeable, and the hook really looks like it's protecting the lens.

These "dummy" cameras are amazing. Very realistic for a fraction of the cost. After purchasing a very expensive "real" security camera system, I returned it because the installation fees were so expensive. (I initially thought it would be a project my husband and I could handle, but the running of the cables, etc became too complex.). As a temporary fix until we could find a suitable system, I purchased these dummy cameras and ended up being amazed at how realistic they are. My neighbors have remarked on them, and nobody has a clue they're not "real". That includes the neighbor who is a security expert. Lol! Planning on purchasing a couple more for the back of the house.

Fantastic! I got broken into twice in 2015, and my house was turned upside down, let alone the things they took. I have a real and working camera system now, but I placed the camera's in covert locations for the best view. I wanted one camera outside the front of my house so burglar's could see it plain as day, in the event they tried to rob me again. This thing looks real and the solar part works perfectly to give it the real look. I'm now very comfortable with all the real cameras I have, the monitored alarm system, my personal protection, and this camera for out front of my house.

Arrived, put in new rechargeable batteries, screwed to siding, set at four corners of house. been in use in buying and so far they all work. Completely fooled the kids and neighbors. Still not telling. They maybe plastic, but once installed, it's had to tell what real and what's not. and that's the idea. A switch up is to add a real one in the mix, I did trim the black "video" cable as it was too long.

Very authentic looking replicas! Looks professional grade. Very easy to install, and seems quite durable. The red light blinks all day and into evening however the batteries are not real good as the light quits blinking later into the night. Good product would recommend.

The quality & appearance was as expected. It should be noted, however, that there are no internal Li batteries. If you don't provide a pair of rechargeable batteries this dog won't hunt. They are not as represented. I exchanged several e-mails w Amazon. They should know what they're selling. Caveat emptor.
