JOT Portable Battery Base for Google Home Mini (Carbon)

Ultimately I've found it simpler to plug the cable into a battery backup in places where the power is intermittent. I've found a longer cable was more useful for me.Having said all that, the unit is well built. I'd recommend it for anyone needing to, say, carry their Google Mini speaker out into the yard or place it on the picnic table for an afternoon.

It's a sleek design with a decent battery for what it is. Mine went from lasting roughly twenty hours down to lasting maybe sixteen hours, which is to be expected. It's great for carrying a speaker around with you to each room before putting it back on the charger. Mine practically lives on the charger until I want to bring it with me.

It works well enough for what I use it for - which to avoid a toddler meltdown while moving my kid from 1 room to another. As long as I remember to put it back on the charging cord soon, there are no problems.The battery is too small for any extended use though. Probably 8-9 hours on stand by. I have noticed that muting the microphone does extend this.Even when it's drained, there's no delay in the Home Mini turning on after you plug it back in. So the battery life is just a minor inconvenience. Like the fact that this uses micro USB.

With the exception that mind smelled like cleaner for some reason got something that shipped next to it I don't know but in any case works great actually used it for about 8 hours the other day had no issues except our power keep going out and I'd lose Internet other than that it works fine I had nothing to do with the device so to those reviews that say that the battery doesn't last I don't know if this made a difference but it was all my electronics my plug it in fully charge it and then I fully drain it in fact I am after fully charging it and took the cable off and let it run on battery till it died actually left it alone for probably two maybe three days then plugged it back in and let it fully charged again I don't is that made a difference but I've had no issues with battery for last couple weeks so

Item worked great at first. A month later it takes HOURS to charge, then is drained after an hour. I reached out to the seller letting them know the item was defective and their response was "sorry to hear that", after not replying for a week. They didn't even ask what was wrong! The fact that it won't hold a charge makes it useless.

Easy to install but life of the battery is not that great , overall it does what it supposed to do moving from one place to the other and also play good quality sound as long is 100% charge.

Actually works better than I expected. I get a full days use of it outdoors. We have several units plugged in around the house and garage, but needed something to carry around to outdoor projects so that we did not blare the neighbors out with loud music. With this we can place it anywhere and move it around outdoors without turning the volume up high near an outlet. One thing you have to get used to...it has to be plugged in (charging) to "turn it on" for the first time of the day. If you simply put your mini into it and turn it on, then it does not come on... but plug it up and watch for the charging lights, THEN you turn it on and disconnect the 110 power and it will play all day (or set on standby when not using). Have never used up a complete charge over a day yet.
