You Did It to Me: A Practical Guide to Mercy in Action

Wow! Fr. Gaitley did it again! A fabulous book for those yearning to change the direction of their lives baby step by baby step. The book entails combining several views of mercy into a more succinct and doable list. The underlying key to action to any of the rather thorough practical checklists is charity. Used this book in a Lenten group discussion and I can see it used by post-confirmation teens who need to be aware of what they can do to be instruments of mercy to those in darkness. The purpose of the book is to call others to action.

Beautiful book, gives one so many ideas on how to be charitable in today's world.

I ordered this book after one of the Dominican priests at my church suggested it for the Jubilee Year of Mercy. It has many concrete suggestions for practicing the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, such as ways to start and contribute to your own Mercy Fund. And of course the ideal would be to continue with these actions after the Year of Mercy ends.

Bought this book as a gift. My wife loves it, and this is her opinion:"Timely for all Catholics in this Year of Mercy. The meditations reflect situations we may face today in our daily lives. Will make you think of now many of the beatitudes you are NOT keeping. Inspirational. A keeper, that's for sure."Would make a great gift.

Wonderful book. Father Gaitley shows how we can all be merciful, even in small ways.

Father Michael was truly blessed by God in writing about the actions of what a Christian should do in his/her life upon earth.

When Michael says this is a practical guide, believe it. He is an amazing writer, very down to earth and conversational. This is an excellent book to use during Lent. I highly recommend it.

GOOD IDEAS NEDDED TO IMPLEMENT "THE NEW EVANGELIZATION" AS WELL AS AN EXCELLENT SUMMARY OF SEVERAL OF FATHER GAITLEY'S PREVIOUS BOOKS CONCERNING DIVINE MERCY AND MARIAN CONSECRATION THEOLOGIES.

Very useful. This book identifies all the ways & means of Christian understanding of Mercy and applies all the principles in a very practical way.It also highlights and sharpens the definition of mercy --- a very good book to widen ones understanding of Mercy & it application.
