A must have if you go RO
This is an absolute must-have if you plan on installing an RO setup and have a fridge that has an ice maker and/or water dispenser. Not only does it make better financial sense to go this route (the proprietary filters in fridges are badly over-priced), but the filters in these fridges usually don't do squat when it comes to "filtering" compared to an RO system. We installed an RO system at the office here (break area) and brought it to the fridge with this. The fridge is a Whirlpool Gold series with ice/water and it's special filters that cost $30-$40+ each and they try to get you to replace them every 3 months (per the built-in timer/reminder). The filter never brought the PPM of the water down much (took it from close to 500 to around 460-470 on average. We removed the filter in the fridge to bypass it and allowed the "now" clean water from the RO to replace the normal water line, and PPM is now around 9-12. So ditch the fridge filters and drink water that truly is clean. Use this adapter to split from the RO system feeding your sink (or wherever it is initially feeding) to include the fridge as well. You won't regret it. Installation is also quick and easy, especially once you are always used to the setup of the RO system itself. The only hard part ("hard" can be debatable depending on your situation) is decided how you want to run it to the fridge. We just drilled holes in the top/back portion of the cabinets and run the line behind all of the sliding drawers. Out of sight, out of touch. Installed in about 10-15 minutes tops (not including the setup time of the RO system of course). This is a perfect kit of utensils for those who like to travel around and camp via vehicle. You get everything one person would ever need, regardless of the meal their hearts are set on, which is the biggest selling point. The carrying case also helps to keep everything together within a small space with protect them from being scratched by other things in the area. As for camping, I did make sure to word it carefully for those traveling by vehicle to camp. These are steel, which means they have weight. Nothing abnormal, but heavier than what you would bring with you if you were to backpack to your destination (in those situations, you want to stick to aluminum or carbon fiber to reduce your pack weight). So if you are traveling in ways where you aren't counting every pound of your weight, these are perfect! This also means they are more affordable, hence the price (vs the inflated price of aluminum or carbon fiber utensils). With the choice between black or silver, black is clearly the obvious choice since it sets them apart from every other pair of utensils you run into (given, that's just one person's personal opinion). We'd post some pictures but Amazon has turned off the ability to include images for the time being. Hopefully, we can come back and add them later when all of this lockdown business is over. **If you have found our review helpful, please vote it as helpful below so I know. Cleaner ice and no hardwater deposits
We love our ROPH75 APEC water system and when a new refrigerator was purchased I wanted to extend the better water to the fridge too. This kit came with everything needed and following the instructions was super easy. I placed the cut-off valve close to the fridge and drilled a hole close to the floor of our counter cabinets. The line was more than long enough to reach our sink. The supplied T connection made connecting this to the filtered water faucet very easy. No drips and only a couple of line cuts were needed. After a quick line flush via the fridge I turned on the ice maker and that was that. The water filter in the fridge is now redundant as it won't have anything to filter. The ice is much clearer over others and it tastes great. I am very happy with the results and instructions and look forward to summer time when we can use more ice.

Great kit and easy to install.
This line, adapter, and valve worked great for me. It took about 5 minutes to install onto my Apec filter system under the sink and run it to where my new fridge was going to go. I had actually wasted money and had a plumber come and run a water line from under the sink to the fridge prior to buying the filter system, so I already had the path clear. If you don't have a clear line path to your fridge, it will take longer to drill holes and run the line. Installing the line itself is quite simple. You just turn off the filter system, cut the line to the faucet, add in the T-adapter and a short piece of the included water line (you'll just have to cut off a short piece of the line you receive with this kit), attach the valve, then run the rest of the water line from the valve to the fridge. The refrigerator installation guy from Sears (where I ordered my fridge) had the rest of what was needed to connect this line to the fridge. If you're doing that yourself, you'll need a nut, one of the plastic washers for these plastic lines, and some plumbers tape for that connection.

Lots of parts, but not lots of PEX.
I replaced my Ecowater ER-375 system with an APEC RO-90, and picked this up mostly for extra parts to branch off to the ice maker line I already have. Ecowater uses 3/8" connections, so I needed to go to the hardware store for a step-down fitting, Once I got that, though, I still ended up using the shutoff and tee connectors, as well as a bit of the included PEX. All things considered, the price was about what I would have paid for the shutoff and tee connector at the hardware store, so I ended up getting the PEX I needed anyway for free by buying this kit. If I was doing a new installation (and why I dropped a star), I don't think they give you enough PEX. That is, unless your refrigerator is very close to where the RO unit lives. 20' seems like a lot, but in my case, the refrigerator is maybe 12' from the RO unit. Once the PEX is fished below the floor and back up again, there wouldn't be enough to allow me to move my refrigerator if I needed to (including to check for leaks). Thinking more about it, since APEC is big on color-coded PEX for installing their systems, I also think it would have been a good idea to have made this kit a different color, to make it easier to tell which line is going to your ice maker, and which is going to the faucet. The complaints are pretty minor. Overall, it's a decent value, and having all the parts makes installation very simple.

Excellent simple system.
Installation was a breeze and the kit comes with everything you need. I can't say enough good things about APEC products. They're designed well, instructions are explicit, and the results of TDS tests speak for themselves. Will continue to buy from this manufacturer into the future.

Add on kit for your frige connection.
Worked just fine to connect my RO to the fridge. Quick and easy. Normally with an RO you would use this plastic line instead of copper tubing to your fridge because supposedly RO water is so pure it might eat your copper line. There seems to be some debate on this so I'm currently running my own experiment with a piece of copper water pipe and water from my RO. My particular RO has the ph alkaline final stage filter that adds calcium carbonate back to the water so maybe it won't affect my copper tubing which I'm currently using, so hence the experiment. If I see it eating away at the copper I'll have to switch to the plastic but so far everything is good after about a week. We'll see. I did run gallons of water through the plastic line ahead of time to empty the first tank as per the instructions to 'clear' the system so maybe the plastic won't have any odors if I have to use it.

Exactly what I needed!
I got this to connect my RO system to my new refrigerator. Installation was super easy! Had absolutely no issues. Great buy for the price!
