very Good but...
The book is very interesting, as not many books deal with this subject of 7 string jazz guitar. According to my waitings, the part for the arpeggios & the scales is too long (who really used the "A" seven string into their solos ?) The chord part is very very useful and brought me many new ideas.Be Careful : as said above, alll the book is build with the seven string tuned to "A"...Obvious for Jazz 7 string guitarists...but not for everybody !

Perfect to start!
It has tabs, sheet music, backing tracks and explanations of how to go through the material.

What a great book!
Great book for intermediate and advanced guitarists. In addition to the expected scales and chord voicing studies for 7-string guitar, there are also wonderful hints on which scales to use in playing situations that both 6 and 7-string players can benefit from. Thanks Chris for writing this book. This is with a low A (not a low B like the rock guitarists frequently use).

this is music?
Jeez, if you really like playing dissonant eighth notes using only two strings, with a backing track that's so jazzy it doesn't even sound good... then this book is for YOU!I bought this book after I bought a 7-string thinking I could learn something new and interesting. It would be nice if the other strings were used occasionally, and if you listen to the practice CD, the only thought you'll be left with is "Why would anyone want to play music that sounds like this?"I can see a very small amount of usefulness here if you are such a great jazz guitarist that you don't need "keys" and "music" holding you down. Just about any other jazz guitar book would be a better buy than this one.

A must for the A-7-string guitar player
7 string guitars come in different tunings, mostly with a drop A or a drop B. Van Erp is the founder of the drop-A school, mostly used in jazz playing. Buzelli's book relies on the ideas of Van Erp and gives a thorough and very systematic method of learning to play that rather complicated instrument.
