O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou... puzzle? Here is a 424 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle featuring Tomasz Pietrzyk's painting "Romeo and Juliet." Designed by David Figueiras, the puzzle design has an array of fancy connectors, an overload of themed whimsies, and a straight edge. Overall this puzzle is "average hard." And unlike its namesake, this puzzle is anything but a tragedy. Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood. Packaged in our standard unfinished pine wood box. Made in USA (specifically, in Fremont, California).

Big project, kinda hard.
I got off to a slow start with this very big (16.25” x 11”) puzzle. It is a big project. It takes a long time to finish both sides as nothing is quite vertical everything is out of kilter. Eventually one gets the two sides connected with the hot air balloon in the center and the task of filling in all the blue in the middle starts. It was not until I finished the puzzle that I could appreciate the beauty of the artwork and quality of design both of which are top notch. My five hours is a very reasonable time for a 424 piece puzzle, so after a slow start some where I picked up the pace. My first impression was one of being overwhelmed. Success is a function of project management where organization skills help a lot. This is a gratifying puzzle to finish, and once finished one can appreciate the complex design and very elaborate assemblages of whimsical pieces. This is an expensive puzzle but as always Artifact always provides a superior return on investment.I would think this puzzle would lend itself to a family or group project, it is definitely large enough to keep several folks busy all working in parallel.
