Lee's Pet Products ALE12005 Coarse Glass Algae Scrubber Pad for Aquarium

I don't think I like this quit as well as the one I used to get from Petco. This is about a dollar more and I don't like the quality quite as well. But, it's decent and the convenience of not having to drive to Petco is worth it.I will say though that if you battle Green Spot Algae (GSA) like I used to. A scrubber is not the answer. I used to spend about 20 minutes scrubbing the glass. But, I recently found that metal "scrapers" exist. What a difference. The scrapper took only one pass, and I was done in about 3 minutes. But, I still use the scrubber pad for the corners. I don't want to gouge the sealant in the corners with the metal scraper.Also, I no longer have a GSA problem because I had read that if you keep your phosphate (phosphorous) levels at 10 Nitrate/ 1 Phosphate level your GSA can't grow. Sure enough, I test and add phosphate as needed, now my GSA has gone away!

Works just fine. Easy to clean and last quite a while. Be sure to only use this on glass. NO ACRYLIC!

Purchased this recently, works well in helping to remove stubborn algae. Will comment on longevity issues at a later date as i haven't owned it long enough to tell.

This is thicker than others that I have tried, and a bit coarser. It does a great job getting the algae off!

Good but doesn't get green algae off glass.

This sponge does a great job on the inside glass of your aquarium!

Scrubs the walls of my glass tank with ease. Much better than the petsmart topfin pad I had before.

Little pieces come off every use. Doesn't hold together well.
