Brownlow Gifts Binder Set with Plastic Page Protectors and Recipe Cards, 8 x 9-Inches, Red & White Farmhouse

I bought 2 of these binders and they're mostly great. Only 2 complaints:1. The tabs don’t stick out past the edge of the pages, so they aren’t visible (which defeats the purpose). If the book was just 1/4” wider, there would be room for tabs that are actually visible. I’m thinking about adding self-adhesive tabs at the top (where the book does have a little extra room).2. The designs are a little dated and unexciting, and the included recipe cards are too fussy/overdecorated. I picked two “OK” book designs and used my own cards.But I’m loving the concept. I decided to go old-school and hand-write my favorite recipes, rather than a mishmash of handwritten and online printouts of varying sizes in various binders. The exercise has been fun, helped me “Konmari” my recipes, and got them all together. I’m even writing cards for the cookbook recipes that have become family classics. I have a book for daily recipes and a book for holidays/parties/desserts.

This item was purchased for my grown son who is beginning his cooking journey. He did not want a "store bought" cookbook. He wanted recipes he grew up eating. This cookbook is gender neutral so it was perfect for a young man. This cookbook is a great gift for anyone wanting to share family recipes or create their own new ones.

I originally bought this to organize my recipes, but I quickly found out this book would cost too much in the end. I decided to give this to my teen daughter to copy what she wants before moving out. But, for my recipes, I winded up getting a box off Easy with my name engraved and then a huge stack of cards from a sale at Michaels. I'm now set for a long time. This book would make a great starter gift, but if you have a lot of recipes, this will get costly. You might want to consider a recipe box.

Just recieved my recipe book today and I have to say, over all I'm happy with it. I'm unhappy with how long it took (9 days) to get to me. I recieved confirmation that it shipped yesterday and recieved it today so I'm not sure why it took so long for it to ship but oh well. I've got it now. The other thing I'm not too happy about it the note cards are only one sided, which confuses me because I bought an extra pack to match and those ARE double sided. I was a little misled by that because I knew I read double sided somewhere before ordering. I just assumed that if the extra packs were double sided that the ones that come with the binder would be as well. I'll live with it though, the binder is very cute.

I am not a big fan of 6x4 recipes cards, so was looking for binder for my 5.5x8.5 page protectors (which I bougth on amazon too, these are for theater bills - see the picture).This one suits perfectly: can accomodate ~30-35 heavy duty (much thicker than protectors coming with the binder) page protectors with 2 pretty heavy (nearly cardstock) sheets in each (I think, if us standard page protectors and printer paper you can go up to 50-60 = 100-120 recipes, which is anyway more than I have now).Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Sometimes I’m wary of online shopping - products are never quite what I want them to be, but honestly I’ve been looking for a recipe book to write my own recipes in for months, and this is just what I was looking for! The recipe cards are the perfect size, it’s organized well, the quality is awesome, the size is perfect, it’s just what I wanted it to be. And in person it’s even better. I am thrilled!

Although I had a slight issue with actually receiving my order, once I got it I LOVED IT! The binder and pages are good quality and are likely to last a very long time, I love the look of the product and I like how easy the recipe cards come in and out of the sleeves. I have already started to fill the book with my tried and true recipes and I can't wait until I get it complete. It will be something that my son will be able to have when I am gone and he can still fix the foods that he loved as a child growing up at home!

This is a great recipe binder with lots of room for all of your recipes!. There are plenty of half-page recipe cards for all of your short recipes, and I love that these all have plastic page protectors, especially since I'm a very messy cook! I especially love the cute graphics on each recipe card and on the front cover, too!The only negative, is that I wish there were more whole page recipe cards! There are not near enough of these and they are extremely hard and almost rare, to find them anywhere!

I liked the design but the material felt pretty cheap for the $35 price tag... I was deceived to give it to my mother for Christmas but she’s a people pleaser and refused to return it. Personally if it was my own, I would return it and keep searching for better quality.

I really like this recipe binder. Its smaller then a normal binder but keeps my recipes clean while in the kitchen which is a big bonus for me. I gave it 4 stars because the tabs don't stick out far enough past the pages to see what they say. I am constantly having to fish tough it for the right category and have even had to add my own tabs to find them easier.
