Dynamite Starter Stick Refill - 20

We use a small wood stove for about 50% of our heat. Every other fire starter we have used smoked up the glass front and smelled really bad. These smell fine, always get the fire started quickly, and do not smoke up the glass. This is not only an awesome product that works great, they are just cool! It only takes about a third of a stick to start the fire, so they are economical too.

These were a perfect match for the originals that came in the clever wooden crate, and I was pleased to discover that I could restock without buying a new crate. Also, these are very reliable and effective fire starters.For five stars the manufacturer should have included a little bag of the sawdust chips that served as packing material for my first crate and also we're used from time to time to aid fire starting. I know now that I need to save my sawdust chips if I want to keep my dynamite sticks in their original configuration.

Most products I purchase are pretty much what I expect and I do not write reviews. I will however write a review if a product is exceptional or far below my expectations.This is the first time I purchased the Dynamite Fire Stick Starters and I did not need a nice box so I bought only the refill. This winter we many warm days when I did not need a fire and I usually use Rutland Fire Starter Squares and I have been using them for the past 6 winter seasons. They did an average job but I decided to try the Dynamite Fire Stick Starters based on the reviews. Huge mistake!! To get them burning, I needed to hold a lighter on them for well over a minute and it took another 5 to 10+ minutes before it would begin burning enough to get the wood going. I will never purchase this product as they are extremely difficult to light and the price too high because not only will you pay for the “fire starters” but the added expense of all the lighters you will go through attempting to get them burning.This is a very poor product and I will be going back to a product that actually works, the Rutland Fire Starter Squares.

They came all stuck togther

Seems like they are kinda too dry or sumin fair price but seems like when ya break it apart it like crumbles unlike others I have bought In the past.overall 9/10.

Like the title says, these sticks are awesome. Dry wood, wet wood, kindling or no kindling, the fire gets started every time. They last quite a while to get things going. One stick will work best with dry wood and kindling. Two sticks for wet wood with kindling. My nephew turned me on to these last Christmas and had to order two refills for this winter season. So easy my wife can get a blazing fire going with very little effort. Really like these. Thanks, Bob C.

An incessant topic of hilarity and wonder to guests, especially when stored in the original wooden dynamite box (purchased originally with the first batch of 20 dynamite sticks), these fire starters perform well. The fire starters light up quickly and easily in addition to delivering a suitable amount of fire and a lengthy burn period.

This is a pretty good way to light a fireplace, although the sticks have enough material to start at least two fires. I break them into thirds, using the center piece to start the draft up the chimney. Once that's started, I put it on top of the wood, and light the two ends that I've placed under the rack on their cut ends. They burn for about ten minutes or so, making even the wettest wood dry and catch fire.
