So far, so good. Within .1 of my result from lab
Had physical four days ago. Used this test today at home. Results differed by only .1.It is true that, a few years ago, a study evaluated this and two other brands for accuracy. The brand did so so. Of three tested, this was second most accurate. Distant second but you cannot find the one that did best (Everyly Well may have bought that company). But Everylwell is not really an at home test. You are sending your blood off to be analyzed. Might also be the case that A1C Now improved what they do. They have FDA approval and they note they are NGSP-certified. Some reviews online noted that this was a standard many other brands did not meet. You can find the website for that and read more. It's very hard to know what to believe with such home test kits. So far, I am impressed with how close the result here was with a full blood draw at a lab four days ago. This seems useful to me. The procedures are more complex than a blood glucose test you do at home. But they are not difficult and there is a very clear video on YouTube about what you do.

This is good to have a good gauge.
For the past year my doctor has been testing my A1C in February it was 5.7 and then in August it’s rose up to 5.8. I have been bucking down on my diet and decided to order the four pack. I’m not sure if it’s 3. I got it today and did the first test. Scared that I didn’t do it right but went down to 5.7. My plan is to continue to test it until my next blood work next yearAnd see where it goes. I don’t want to be on diabetes medication it does run in my family.

Medicare does not pay for normal A1C lab tests
Neither of us (wording to stay under Amazon privacy radar) are diabetic and we, and our doctor, would like to keep it that way. So we routinely get A1C tests with lab work, until Medicare stopped paying for tests with normal results (5.7 or below). Our doctor recommend this test kit. We have used it for several years, saving hundreds in lab fees not covered by insurance. If you follow the instructions carefully, it is an easy procedure and quick results.

Good to have
I was having issue with my medical provider and a diagnosis/treatment of diabetes. They had taken me off all treatment because my A1c was too good. According to my labs it was going up by about .2 per month the last time she checked it my A1c was .1 too low. So, got this home test which was more cost effective than the labs. I was hoping to see at home when it went up then ask them to rerun the lab. This was very easy to use and worked exactly as it should. I will say that it was off by about .3 either way. At first it was 6.9 then when I tested again 2 days later it was 6.3. When my doctor checked a few days later it was 6.6. If you need to check your A1c between appointments this is a great resource.

Great product; easy to use - follow the instructions
This is a great product. Works exactly as advertised. The instructions are lengthy but clear. Step 3,4 and 9 are the most important and likely where one can make mistakes..so be careful there.Overall great job by this manufacturer. I recommend this wholeheartedly if you need to measure A1C.

Read the instructions- several times if your a little slow(like me)
I have been using these for a couple of year's now and they work great! It consistently runs 2-10s of a point above the Dr.s office- (6.4 Dr. - 6.6 home test) This is perfect when you have to be below a specific number- The (4) pack works well with the shelf life- do not over order unless you intend on doing a lot of tests- I will continue use them.

This test is pretty accurate
Being newly diagnosed T2D I’ve been on a plant based diet this year, trying to give up sugar too. I’ve been visiting the lab for blood draws to test A1c. I’ve been comparing finger prick method vs Libre 14 day CGM to see what the difference in readings are (pretty interesting variable of up to 20pts or more) and I discovered this home A1c kit. It’s proved to be very close to the lab’s results.

UPDATE to Defective test supplies
2nd purchase for me. Never had a problem with first purchase and I would have highly recommend the test kits. However this time 3 out of the 4 test supplies the blood shakers would not work correctly.UPDATE After leaving my disappointing review the seller stepped up and refunded my account. I know I will look to them first the next time I order! Updated to a 5* rating
