I started my shoe horn life a few years ago as a gag. My brother in law and I bought a long handled one from Cabelas for $9.99. We bought it to annoy our wives more than for its usefulness.A few years past since then and I bought a pair of sneakers online that were too tight. I started using my joke plastic shoe horn and it really helped with these sneakers. I was going to throw them out because of the fitting issue up to this point.So the plastic one helped me to keep these new shoes. One day I left it at another location that I wasn't going back to for 3-4 weeks. I found I could't live without it.So I took my time to buy the best and ended up purchasing this one. I'm extremely happy with several features of it.First of all, it's about 6 inches higher than my joke one. Seems silly but makes a big difference now that I"m approaching my mid 50's. Also that fact that it is steel makes it seem legit. It has some heft to it but I would like it to be a bit thicker. I read review about it bending. After carefully using it I attribute those reviews to people using way too much force at the wrong angle. That's the only way I can think it would bend.The leather handle is useful. Not only is it comfortable to use I like to show it off to relatives as I joke about my age. Ha ha.Overall I love this thing and use it it for all shoes from my sneakers to my cowboy boots. My son (in his 20's) tried to make fun of me until he used it on his cowboy boots. He loved it except it made him feel old.I'm buying him one for Xmas.

Works great

This is a solid product. Shoehorns make life some much simpler, especially with boots of any size. This works well for shoes and boots. Recommend!

It is to soon to give it 5 stars as I have only used 4 or 5 times. I was surprised at the thickness of this item! Twice as thick as my last one by a different manufacturer which bent on the third use . I tried it in my boots and it worked extremely well! I feel this is a strong well made item . I tested the bendability just to see if it would flex or bend and it did not. If people are bending this they must be really trying to do so, but things do happen I guess. Right now this seems as I said to be a thick, strong and well made item. The leather cover on the end is a very nice touch. It is not just for looks and feels great in your hand!

Heavy duty and works well!

This shoe horn is a well made piece of kit for anyone who wants to avoid bending over for what may seem like hours, trying to shove a foot into a shoe or boot, especially boots with side zippers.It is long enough to insert into the heel of the shoe or boot before inserting your foot, and the length of the shoehorn allows the user to avoid excessive bending while using it. The highly polished steel seems to be hard enough to prevent the shoehorn from bending, a problem with most long shoe horns.No more foot dancing with the shoe tongue or grinding your foot around the heel of the shoe trying to get your foot into it. It's a pretty good product.
