I bought several reading lamps with natural daylight bulbs in the past year, and love reading by them. The bright white natural looking light is a pleasure to read by. I forgot to buy replacement bulbs when I bought the lamps, so when my dog knocked over the floor lamp by my reading chair, I was out of luck. I have looked far and wide in stores in my area for these compact flourescent daylight bulbs, but none carry them.I knew that I would find them on Amazon, but wanted a new bulb that same day so I could finish the Brad Thor novel I had been reading. I knew that my Amazon Prime membership ensured that they would be delivered in 2 days, so I had to wait. I was delighted when they were delivered on a Sunday afternoon, in time for me to finish reading the Sunday paper in my favorite chair.Now that I know these bulb work well in all my reading lamps, I am going to order another 5-6 of them so I have them on hand next time Bowzer topples my lamp.

This replacement is identical in size to one I have in my original Lights of America lamp. I didn't realize it until I put a second lamp on my desk, but over time they lose their brightness. This replacement lamp is much better than the original and when used on my desk with the other lamp of the same type, the light distributes nicely and evenly.I have come to strongly believe that when the two lamps are on together they have a sort of therapeutic effect. I don't consider myself as a person affected at all by SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), but I have come to believe that this type of lighting is superior and permits me to work longer with less mental fatigue than using other types of lights.There is a large window above my desk, so sunlight is not an issue. Also I live in an area where we get lots of blue sky all year long. Even so, I have become convinced that these lights have a secondary benefit, which is as I said, to permit one to work at a desk with less eye and mental fatigue.

I use my old Bell & Howell floor lamp when I knit and crochet. It's like the sun is shining on my work but does not bother my eyes. It helps me see my stitches crystal clear. My cat was sitting on the craft table and when he jumped off he bumped the lamp and it fell. Something inside the bulb broke and I needed a replacement fast and cheap. Amazon to the rescue as always. I just looked for a bulb with the exact same specifications as the original that came with my lamp, which lasted for 5 years. Would've lasted for a few more if my kitty didn't break it. This Eiko bulb fits in the lamp perfectly and works great. Don't know how long it will last but even if only for a year or two, it was still worth the price.

Bought this to replace the one that came with the lamp, which burned out not long after purchase.So far, the replacement is working great after a couple of weeks. No way to predict how long it will last; so, that's the reason for 4 stars. It was fair-priced and quick shipped; so, we'll probably purchase another to keep on hand as a spare.The quad tube lamp style works well for the computer desk, as the compact fluorescent bulb provides excellent illumination for the work space.

First time I've written a product review. Got this bulb less than 2 weeks ago, what a piece of garbage. From first use, never had same quality of light produced as original bulb it replaced (brightness/output or spectrum), took a while each time to "warm up" (also a new phenomenon), started to become inoperable after about 30 hours of use - only 1 or 2 of bulb chamber lighting (others off, dim or 'purple' at base), never seeming to reach full output, now today failed completely. Original bulb that came with lamp lasted over 8 years. So now I sit in the dark contemplating my next move, which will certainly not be a repeat of this action. Only positive was the quick Prime shipping. I should have questioned price/quality connection - this one was significantly less expensive than other choices found on the Internet, should have been a tip-off. I have been normally quite satisfied with my other items purchased on Amazon, it is unfortunate that a small irritant like this will now put that relationship in jeopardy. In short - don't buy, find a better (higher quality) alternative, pau a little extra and go with that.

My daughter bought me a full spectrum, sunshine desk lamp as a present last year. She purchased it from Amazon, and I absolutely loved it. But it didn't come with any kind of "paperwork"/directions/bulb replacement info. I didn't even know what brand it was. So, when I knocked the lamp over last week & broke the bulb, I had no idea which bulb to purchase. I was also disheartened to see that some of the bulbs & shipping would cost almost as much as purchasing a new lamp. And I didn't want to throw money away on an expensive bulb when I wasn't even sure if the lamp would still work after the fall. But after some investigating, it appeared that this was in fact the right bulb. And even if it weren't, it was inexpensive enough that it would not have been a big financial loss if it weren't. But I am delighted to say that this bulb was the right one. It's absolutely perfect and arrived a full week before the promised delivery date! I will definitely purchase more of this bulb from this seller!

27 watt bulb arrived quickly and works well in Lights of America fixture

Worked as expected! Nothing much to say, it was exactly what I needed for my lamp. :)

Very pleased with product.

Arrived quickly but very disappointed as bulb failed within 24hrs.

This Tube Bulb is pretty bright. Even though it doesn't feel like a high quality product it indeed works as my old Japanese made bulb.
