It’s a lovely book and pictures a few really unique projects one with roving. I started out as a crochet crafter and have and love her crochet book Rustc Crochet. The only thing is I wanted a bit of fancier knit patterns. The projects remind me of the crochet book. So if you are a knitter who doesn’t crochet this book is a good source. Her “Allium” in knit and “sea glass”. In crochet is basically the same project. And “midnight Tendril”. Would take hardly any time to crochet, so I’m probably not going to knit that. There is a fair bit of lace, cables and bobbles but I think I wanted more rustic like “Winter Rose”. I’m splitting hairs, I like this designer I would say it’s a good bye and I hope ms. Alexander gets more inspired patterns published soon.

I love this designer! I saw the Japanese Lantern shawl on display at Tempe Yarn and Fiber and had to have that pattern. After Searching Ravelry I found that it is only in this book. I promptly went to the library and checked out the book, casted on Winter Rose and 3 days later went on Amazon and bought the book. Never in my life have I wanted to knit every project in a book until now. Yumiko's patterns are easy to read and follow. She offers amazing stitch descriptions. Her website contains even more project help. I just love her. She lives here in Arizona and I hope to meet her and have her sign my book at one of my LYSs.This book is great for an advanced beginner and will interest an experienced knitter as well!

I am familiar with Ms. Alexander's work, having knitted one of her designs. Her patterns are so unique. This book is gorgeous. The patterns are gorgeous and I can't wait to finish some other projects and then make the difficult decision of which pattern to put at the top of my list. I cannot comment on pattern instructions at this time, although I think they read easily.

I just got this book today and it looks as nice as I thought it would. There are a few strange patterns that I am not sure why they exist but 80% of them are items I would make and wear. I would give this book more stars if possible. Please note that they are accessories like cowls, scarves, shawls/poncho, hats, and at least one vest. No sweaters or socks.

Really loved this book - mostly because I really liked almost EVERY project in the book. Too often you have to buy a book because you like one design and very few of the others in the book - but not the case in this book. It is also illustrated beautifully. I can't wait to get started on my next project.

Saw a pattern knit up from this book at our knitter's guild. Went to one of my favorite local knitting shops and bought yarn for that shawl and for another scarf. This book has several patterns that I would like to knit.

some,but not all, patterns are as expected and I will probably use two or three.

Great book full of really wearable designs that will be the perfect way to use my yarn purchases from IKnit Fandango!
