2-in-1 Salt and Pepper Grinder Set – Premium Salt and Pepper Mill, Ceramic Grinding Mechanism, Stainless Steel Design, Adjustable Grind

I purchased two of them and the glue holding the metal you see on the outside over the plastic inside failed on both units. The plastic adjustment nut (fine to coarse) stripped on one as I have a tendency to sometimes rock back and forth rather than continually rotate when grinding. But liking the two-in-one design as well as the quality of the ceramic grinders inside, I simply sanded the plastic parts the metal was glued to and applied Shoe Goo since it's flexible rather than a brittle and unaffected by moisture to fix where the glue failed. I went to my local hardware store and found brass nuts (better than iron for being around salt) to replace the plastic nuts. So all is well I would have rated a five but for the failed glue and plastic nuts. (I noticed the current ad shows nuts with metal inside which may fix the problem) I still wouldn't hesitate to purchase again at that price because the fix was relatively easy and they work great now.

It's a stylish design, and the ceramic grinders are nice. The weakness is in the black plastic components that hold the mechanism together. Ours broke after about 5 years of pretty steady use (the black plastic truss that holds the grinding wheels in place, and now the salt side is totally useless). Not sure how to take them up on the lifetime guarantee. Can they send a replacement?

Looks very nice on the table. Feels good using the grinder, has a good heft to it. Efficiently grinds salt at one end and pepper at the other end. You can control the size of the grains, from quite fine to chunky, and it is recommended you turn the grinder clockwise only. We adjusted a few times to get the proper grind size for the salt, but we were able to get what we wanted. It comes with 3 caps (one is an extra, just in case!) for keeping each end from leaving grains on the table. I purchased pink Himalayan salt, my favorite, and it works very well with this grinder. The only drawback, in retrospect, it is a bit hard for me to grip and turn; I believe a rubber grip on the outside would work better for me. In future, we'll edit regarding how this product works over time.

Ordered this grinder set early September of 2015 and it seemed to work fine for the first few months. As other reviewers have posted the end caps don't stay on well after time, and they only provide one extra one of those. You have to pick it up at the very bottom to get After 3-4 months of casual use (not every day, but from time to time) the side we held the salt in was getting close to empty.. We were unable to open that side without screwing in the adjustable grind size ALL the way in so that it was closed. This allowed or one and only refill of either side. An attempt to open the other side (just to check) failed.As of the writing of this review (4/23/16), I was grinding some pepper and the whole grinding mechanism broke and fell into the food. Spring, lock ring of some sort, the adjustable grinding part and whole pepper corns..As this item is currently 'not available' I am not sure anyone will see this or care, but this item is not worth the apparent convenience of having both the salt and pepper grinders in one.

I have had this grinder for about a month now and it's working out great. It is so convenient having the salt and pepper together. The compartments hold a good amount of product, but it is so easy to refill I would not mind filling it more often of it was needed.This grinders's opening is as large as the lid. I've owned other pepper mills in the past where the opening is so narrow no matter the effort peppercorns always end up on the floor. Another feature that I like is that you can see how low you are in salt/ pepper so you don't run out mid-use and then come to find out that you don't have any more pepper in the cabinet to refill it with. I generally like to stick to glass but with a large family this being acrylic works out perfectly because I don't have to worry about it breaking with it was being in use. I really cannot find any cons, the only this is that even on the smallest setting not all of the pepper comes out super fine, but that to me is just fine I like a little variance. Also, I must say I do like the way it looks out on the counter. The last thing that did it for me was the price, it was such a good price, I paid about $14 for it when most other grinders I was looking at were upwards of $30 for just the pepper.Overall I would recommend this product.

I decided on this grinder because I thought it was a great value. I like the 2 in 1 combo, its very convenient and easy! There are a couple of things that kept me from giving this the five star rating though. First I don't like the lids, they don't seal great, which means my spices get exposed to air. I also like to grind into the lids and use the lids to distribute my salt and pepper, the lids have notches in the side of them making them mostly useless for holding ground salt and pepper. Secondly, the grinders are ceramic yes, but everything around the grinders is plastic, all the stainless is pretty much for dressup. So I was going to give this grinder 3 stars, but them remembered how great of a deal it was and decided on 4.

I really like this grinder. It looks nice and presents well for use in your kitchen or on the dinner table. I like the simplicity of one unit for both salt and pepper. The only complaint I have is really not a big issue. I have had a brass pepper mill for a long time and I have become very accustomed to grinding back and forth, not only grinding in one direction. So it is really my personal experience I am trying to overcome. When I grind I have to tell myself which direction to twist. I imagine it is simply so that the ends do not twist off.Anyways, I would definitely buy it again or gift it. High quality, easy to use and stylish. Get one, you'll like it.
