Great product. Did exactly what I wanted it to do. Siemens Telnet compatible

nicely made and sturdy, But ...... it is very difficult to remove from a female socket on your board or other connections due to the release tab on the RJ12 plug side of this splitter is recessed too far into the housing that you cannot push in the release tab to be able to remove this splitter so I cannot use this for the reason for this purchase until I remove the surrounding rubber housing on either side of the splitter so i can be able to push in the release tab

This is great. Only issue is there is little or no space for the tab to engage.

There is a Major Flaw in the Terminal Splitter I received:NO Locking Tab on the Male portion of this plug - "It just Falls-Out" when inserted into several different RJ-11/12 Female Receptacles.Normally, on proper RJ-11/12 Male Plugs, There are "Locking Wedges" on either side of the Center Release Bar.Under magnification - These locking wedges do not exist - the Supposed Locking Surfaces are Smooth - Thus the Plug Falling Out !Normally - This item would be returned - and I would purchase from a Different Manufacturer/Seller.But I am "stuck" - I need to get a Communications Project completed - So - I was forced to modify this plug - as follows:Build up the Locking Wedge Surfaces with Thickened Cyanoacrylate and then under magnification - grind in the proper locking wedge profile with a Dremel. "This will work" - as there is not a lot of locking force required - and of course, as these are mass-molded - it would be impossible to inspect each and every plug - but at some point after several thousand of these are produced - "someone" should be doing spot testing.I am not holding the seller directly responsible - however - buyer beware - especially if you do not have the requisite skills for modifying the locking mechanism.

It does what you expect and seems well-made. Passes a clean data signal.

Had a ground wire that wouldn't crimp right now it works perfectly fine

I use this as a RS485 communications for my project. Didn't work since the tab doesn't lock. I compared this with another purchase of RJ12 connector which locks and works (reliable connections). Returned.

Nice piece. Turned out that I couldn't do what I wanted to do so don't need it. Regardless, it's nicely made for a good price.

The tab doesn't lock and the connector falls from it's own weight.
