Edit: If you are traveling, this thing is a godsend. The magnet part takes almost no space vs. the usual bulkier phone mounts and attaches to any car without the need for glue or suction (which rental car companies might frown upon since they leave a mark sometimes). Makes mounting your phone for GPS so easy now...before I always had it on my lap and had to constantly look down at it which is obviously more dangerous.A sleek little mount for your phone without the ugly, bulky monstrosities from the recent past.I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S5, and this mount holds up to that phone nicely. At first I had my doubts about a mount relying on magnets, but this magnet holds very well. Surprisingly well. I have speed bumps near my house and I ran over them at varying speeds expecting my phone to drop off the mount, but it held up without even moving a centimeter from its position every time. I drove around with it for over two hours and found that it was as stable as any mount I've went through in the past, maybe even more so.The actual mount itself fits in my 2014 Mustang GT air vent snugly, but nicely. No more suction cups, sticky solutions, and other things that always melt away and loosen up over time, especially under the sun. I no longer have to worry about the mount blocking my vision of the road. The mount I used before, my phone (with case) would barely fit into the claw, and I would always have to wedge it in and out which causes the mount to dislodge pretty quickly. Over time, I had a lot of suction marks on my dash from where my mount used to be before the latest time it fell off. Now, my phone just "sticks" to the mount via the attached magnet and is so much easier to attach and remove than before.There are a couple "negatives" here. One is that a phone case is pretty much required for use of this mount. It comes with two magnets, and one has a sticky part that you can attach to your phone, but its permanent, and obviously you don't want this eyesore of a magnet being stuck to your phone permanently. The case also has to be opaque, otherwise the magnet is a huge eyesore on your phone through a clear case, which may be a problem if you like showing off the phone's normal look instead of covering it up.The second is it does tend to block an entire air vent in your car, so make sure its one that you don't mind closing up. This is somewhat nice if you have cool air running and your phone tends to get hot when running your GPS program, but not so nice when its cold and you like turning the heater on. YMMV here but I have no issues with this.Ultimately, this is a very affordable mount for your phone that simply works. It has some caveats but I have been pleasantly surprised with how well it holds up, without the ugliness of a more bulky car mount solution.

I purchased this unit primarily for use in my personal vehicle, to secure my iPhone 6 to the vent. If I liked it, my plan was to purchase another one to put in the family vehicle so that my wife and I could use the mounts no matter which car we were in. This meant that it also had to hold her phone, the larger iPhone 6 Plus.I've used several vent mount cradles, but have thus far steered clear of the magnetic ones assuming that they would be somewhat unstable. Upon receiving this unit, I was immediately satisfied with how well it performed and how securely my phone was held in place.Several things stood out about this product that I am particularly pleased with:1) The vent clip itself feels sturdy and secure. It is not made of the hard plastic material found on other mounts, but feels like it is made of a solid rubber. I am attaching the mount to a VERTICAL VENT, and was concerned that any vent mount would not work as well. This vent mount seems to have no problem maintaining position and not sliding downward.2) I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could use the round plate behind my phone's case and it would hold just as securely as the larger, rectangular plate. I wanted to do this primarily so that I could use the other metal plate for my wife's phone, but wasn't sure that the round one would hold my phone securely to the magnet. It did. (Not that it matters since I will probably buy another mount for my wife's car, as mentioned, and each mount comes with two plates.)3) The very low-profile design means that there is very little risk of me bumping my phone on the vent. Other mounts that I have used stuck out more, and since my vent is close to my steering wheel I would have a tendency to hit the whole thing with my hand when reaching for the windshield wipers, or even for the radio. This mount holds it very close to the vent and as yet I have not to whack it with my hand.After feeling the strength of the magnet and the build quality of the device itself, I look forward to purchasing another one for my other vehicle. Can't beat the price either!

Excelente relación calidad/precio. Funciona como esperado. Me resultó cómodo y práctico que no tuve que adherir las placas de metal ni al teléfono ni a la funda, basta con colocarlo en medio y no hay mayor inconveniente. Al tener la placa de metal no es compatible con cargadores inalámbricos y creo que eso debería de estar explícito en la descripción del producto. La única solución es remover la placa al utilizar este tipo de cargadores.

Muy amplio, funciona a la perfección. No ocupe las laminas, porqué el case de mi celular ya trae imán.

Holds securely. Just buy a phone case with 2 backing pieces.. so the metal doesn't have to be against your phone. If you put the metal piece directly against your phone it WILL scratch it.

This is just amazing, it worked for me very well. The build quality is too good and i appreciate the magnet power of this tiny thing.
