OMG SLEEP...FINALLY
I had persistent insomnia for over a decade and I tried EVERYTHING. Diet, exercise, every supplement known to man, you name it. Before I get to this supplement, which was like the cherry on top of my sleep program, I'll briefly tell you what else I do. First of all, go to bed at the same time every night, and let your body figure out when that time should be. For me, I had been trying to go to bed at 10 or 11 o'clock every night and it just wasn't working for me, but when I tried 7 o'clock, it was like magic. Next, GET EARPLUGS. Even if you don't like how they feel, just use them for at least a week. The silicone kind that you don't jam entirely down your ear canal are probably the most hygienic for long term use, otherwise, change them weekly. Next, USE A SLEEP MASK. These two things were the most essential things for me, but something was still missing. Melatonin was hit or miss for me-NEVER take more than 1 mg, it's counterproductive, for most people .5 mg is the optimal dose-MORE IS NOT BETTER. Finally, this supplement, which contains the PERFECT amount of melatonin AND the BEST KIND of melatonin-slow release-will help seal the deal. Within just a few days of taking it, I went from sleeping 4 hours per night MAX, to sleeping minimum 7 hours per night. Some nights I even slept for 9 hours, which I haven't done in 30 years. This supplement probably saved my life, no joke. Sleep is that important, and my lack of sleep caused high blood pressure and possibly diabetes. Do yourself a favor and TRY IT. Or get it for a friend or loved one who's an insomniac. I think that nobiletin is extracted from tangerines and it has a lovely mild citrus scent.

It works and is NOT a stimulant
In response to "Ngana 99" reviewer, it is NOT stimulating. I've read about several scientific studies and it says in summary that "Aside from its neuroprotective roles, Nobiletin is also known to enhance overall brain and body function by promoting sleep and relaxation. It is shown that the compound effectively enhances circadian rhythm or the sleep-wake cycle of individuals." And several studies said that it "stimulates burning fat." Maybe the reviewer "Ngana 99" misread the studies. It works perfectly fine, although not terribly effective for sleep (in my case).

This product is a STIMULANT!
One of the two ingredients in this product is Nobiletin, a STIMULANT, like caffeine, that induces lipolysis . (In plain English, Nobiletin burns fat.)It's just bizarre that LifeExtension would combine a stimulant (Nobiletin) with Melatonin (a sleep inducing agent) in the same product. I actually ended up waking up at 2 am and staying up until 5 AM after using this product several times. When I looked at the scientific literature on PubMed, one paper by Zhang et al. from 2014 discusses the "Stimulatory effects on Nobiletin" while another paper by Saito et al. from 2007 notes "Nobiletin stimulated lipolysis in differentiated adipocytes."You wanna burn fat? Take Nobiletin. You wanna sleep soundly at night, Melatonin will do it for you. But combining these two together? Nah!Yes, the scientific literature does hypothesize that Nobiletin enhances the circadian rhythm (according to Baokun He et al. from a paper in 2016 and another paper by Sujeewa S. Lellupitiyage et al from 2020). However, just because a product enhances your circadian rhythm does NOT mean that it should be taken at bedtime.Would you take an espresso just before tucking in a night? More strangely, would you combine that shot of espresso with a compound that induces sleep?LifeExtension needs to sell these two compounds separately, not combine them as a nighttime sleep agent.

Can't believe it worked
Ass soon as daylight hours decreased this winter, I began to fall asleep a half hour later each night, until I was falling asleep at 6:30 each morning. This went on for over a month and I made an appointment with a neurologist and checked for supplements on amazon. I went with this pill because Life Extension makes a great enhanced zinc lozenge for the cold virus that works so well I've bought it for friends and family.I don't understand how something as simple as orange peel helps insomnia or delayed sleep onset disorder. I don't understand the different types of clock genes or what the study on niobeletin really found. But I do know that taking one at night as well as switching my computer to dark mode and taking evening baths with magnesium salts (not epsom salts) along with magnesium chelate-malate pills ( by morningpep) improved my bedtime by 6 hours. Instead of falling asleep at 6 am I am now at 11:30. It only took two days of this supplement to get back on track. I also tried boiling orange peels to make a tea but it tastes gross so I'm going to stick to these.
